really! they're still people. just because they're different doesn't mean they're bad. im not gay, but im tired of seeing people always making fun of them. its completely irrational. anyone else feel like this?

Is this not the image of God? Genesis 2 says man was formed from the dirt and God breathed in his spirit and the two became a living soul? Doesnt this make man more than one and if he is not more than one does he not die wiht his flesh?

Do you believe that real magic exists not like pull a rabbit out of a hat. more like the type of stuff you would see on for example charmed. I can't explain it but something inside me is telling me it really and truly exists and i can't ingnore it.

OK, So I am a grown woman, mom of 2, not on a cell phone, just minding my own business, driving the speed limit (or above) on the freeway. I see a space to change lanes, so I turn on my blinker and begin to get over. The guy in that lane decides to be a jerk and substansially speeds up, not allowing me to safely get over.
Why?

It's interesting to me how often this happens... when someone puts on their blinker in front of me, I coast a tad to let them in safely.
It's rare I even get a thanks.....

What is the mentality behind speeding up?
I'm not slowing you down, or "winning".
What has happened to being nice?

Anyone agree Shilpa is 2 nice by licking the boots of the British ppl 7 so she can be accepted?
I mean i dnt belive she is being herself by being too forgiving, dont u think that sends out the wrong message that people can say and do what they want and know they will be forgiven, if u b too soft and nice then people will bring have a go at u more, I belive Shilpa just being too nice cuz she been brought up in India and doest know how Multi cultural UK is and she ios trying to be a servant herself so the Brits can like her, which i belive is pathetitic, thats why British had controled Indian because the Indians let them. anyone agree, cuz i know there is an element of truth in this.

I'm leaving to go see my boyfriend Saturday and spend the day with him. I since it's a long distance relatioship and I might not get to see him before Valentine's Day I'm going to give him his present then. The problem is that I have no clue what to get him. I have been brought up to adhere to strong religious beliefs (I shall not state which), but now I question the origin and need of any religion!

Through my own experience and that of others all around the world I have come to a conclusion that religious beliefs are Humankinds way of dealing with questions that cannot ever be answered and proven without question.

Why do so many religions exist in our world with a similar principal?

Why do we follow a religious belief that has been modified by those in power over the centuries?

The principal for each religion or following in my experience is that of a 'Belief & Faith' system.

Why should some people have the good fortune of experiencing a so called 'miracle' that proves their beliefs when the rest of us will be damned just because we did not have any 'divine intervention'.

If there is a God, or Supreme Being, then he/she/it is unfair and self centred, and allows people to destroy each other and their precious lives!

My mind tends to wander when I try to pray or study the Bible sometimes. Or it will seem like the things I'm praying to God for help with will become more worrisome when I start to pray, almost as if my mind is being distracted. But I've noticed that if I have mellow nature or instrumental playing in the background it helps me to focus, and eventually I block out the music and get lost in study or prayer. This type of music also reminds me of God's creations and how powerful He is which may be another reason it relaxes me. Is this acceptable, or could listening to music at these times be viewed as a form of ritual that God would disapprove of? Below is an example of the type of music I listen to. The only difference is that it may have nature sounds included:
