depsite th Davinci Code being a work of fiction, there is no reason for you NOT to think he could have been married with children. if marriage is a holy sacrement to the Church, than why would the holiest being in Christianity not be married? ask for evidence that people have that Jesus wasn't married. and they can't really say the bible, because there are books written by desciples and others that were left out. it's a great mystery to all of us, since none of us were alive then.

There is little if any real historical evidence that Jesus was married. If Jesus was a rabbi in the traditional sense, he would have followed rabbinical law and social mores and may have been married. The problem with learning more about the life of Jesus is that the New Testament is the ONLY document in which he is mentioned.

That idea is not a new one. Dan Brown only borrowed it for the purposes of writing a novel. The idea that Jesus was married goes back along way. If you literally believe the bible account then you obviously can not believe such a thing. Personally I think it is entirely possible and plausible.

this has been a contention of many people that jesus was married and did have kids.
Dan Brown's novel capitalizes on this idea and expands on it.
christians hate the idea because it goes against the very doctrines of the church. and while opus day christians are pretty much the equivalent of the waco supporters, they are not like they are portrayed in dan brown's story either.
this idea has been dismissed by the church and is shunned by the vatican. There is not strong evidence for the belief, as there are many pictures of the last supper and many versions of it that people try to base thier conclusions on, however the true picture is this one:

There is absolutely no evidence in the Bible to suggest that Jesus was either married or had children. Other than the fact that we are all God's children.

It is possible and probable. Not because Dan Brown says so but because Jesus was also human, with blood, flesh and thus needs.

It would certainly be an oddity that a 30 year old jewish man was not married.
I certainly would have trouble believing in an incarnated god that had no experience with sexuality.
As an atheist, I believe that Jesus, if he existed, was a religious teacher. If he practiced chastity, I hope he was happy with it. If he had children, I hope they brought him happiness. But nothing turns on it.

The Da Vinci Code is a work of FICTION!
Jesus could have had 10 kids for all we know, or ever will know.

It's possible, it's probable. There is no man in the world that I know capable of handling 30 years of blue balls without dying the first year.

Jesus .....NOT married, NO children.
Dan Brown, himself, willingly admits his book is purely fiction.
Meaning: Not to be taken literally!
