No, but I find it amusing Christians say no. The Bible is full of examples of magic used by non-believers and wards against contact with them. Even in the story of Moses, the Pharaoh's guards turn their staffs into serpents as well.

Oh, there's magic out there alright...Not like Charmed though! They super exagerate stuff so they get good ratings. There's no flying broomsticks, or turning into toads and all the other horribly cliched stuff out there. Magic is about turning events in your favor, learning about the past, present and future, summoning spirits, and knowing yourself. It can be used by anyone, from wiccans and pagans, Voudon practicioners, Christians, Jews and Muslims, even Athiests use magic(though I believe a good many of them are Chaos Magicians). Most people say there is no proof of magic, I personally think it's a personal thing myself. It's not a physical science. (Oddly enough to some, I really love science as well hehe)
If you are interested in magic, look it up on the net. www.molochsorcery.com has some lessons on witchcraft, even if it's just for personal knowledge.

What is refered to as magic (yes, that's what I call it!) is simply an inner technology that all humans possess (and have since the beginning of time) and are learning to use (again!). From my own experimentation, magic can be defined as manipulations of subtle energy bodies and movements of high-vibration energy to affect some sort of change in your environment, usually to your advantage.
There are so many ways this can be achieved, they wouldn't fit on this page! Examples include the Western Mystery Schools of Kaballism, Hermeticism, Rosicrucianism, etc. The rituals and meditations of these schools of thought are designed to cause our minds to operate on a differnt level, in turn causing our physical brains to kick on normally unused (or little used) areas of neural connections. This has a tendency to cause certain "filters" to be bypassed. This is why most people who seriously practice magic have a tendency to see things from differnt points of view. They can "think outside the box" far easier than a non-practioner. This has an "opening" effect on the visual cortex of the human brain, making a person sensetive to variant frequencies (such as the commonly refered to "unseen world"). For the practioner of a good magical system, it's not uncommon to encounter non-physical beings that normally dwell on the Astral Plane (spirits, fairies, ghosts angels, demons, etc).
But don't take my word for any of this. Research this for yourself. A good place to begin is a rather thin (but very detailed) book called "Simplified Qabala Magic" by Ted Andrews. Another great book is "The New Hermetics, 21st Century Magick for Illumination and Power" by Jason Augustus Newcomb with a foreward by Lon Milo DuQuette. If you follow the simple exercises laid out in these books (even just one or two), you'll be AMAZED at the results. Promise! Just stick with it and see.
The new physics supports magic through "String Theory". Check it out and experiment. Let no man or woman frighten you from the path you walk; they refuse to see the truth of things and will not understand, even if it's put right in their face.
Peace!

I don't believe in magic like witchcraft and that stuff, but I do believe in some people's powers and abilities..For instance,we greeks, believe in the evil eye:
The Evil Eye is a kind of negative power we all more or less carry within ourselves. If we stare too long on a person, animal or even an object we may inflict damage through this power. It is often totally unconsciously, but the staring in itself often comes from admiration or envy, which are perfect channels for the Evil Eye.

The victim will suddenly get a headache, a dizzy spell, faint, fall ill or even die, depending on the Evil Eye's strength and the victims' susceptibility.

To get rid of the spell, you will have to find a person that can break it. Usually it is a woman, since this ability is traditionally passed on from mother to daughter.
It's happened to many friends of mine and they all had somebody break it successfully for them...

I believe in it, but I do not call it "magic", treat it special, or attribute any one religion or group to owning or knowing more about it than anyone else.

I don't believe that it is sacred or even special for that matter. It is a misrepresentation of the latent abilities that all human beings possess and can cultivate at any time if they want them.

The practice of magic is just like the religious practices that man covets and calls his own, to corner the market on the right and best way to God or even just to call attention to themselves.

Everyone wants to be special... Truth of the matter is, Everyone can do any of these things if they understand physics, matter, physical laws God and humanity.

The time is approaching where everyone will understand this...

Of course i do. It doesn't actually matter if someone beleives in it or not. There are old texts and books that have spells in it. My best friend is a pagan (wiccan) and she has shown me a few things. She even helped me make a Witches Ladder. I find witchcraft and vampirism very interesting. Of course, it always helps if you have witch blood in you.
And by the way, real magic, is actually spelled Magick, magic is like magician magick.

Sometimes I really wonder. If magic interests you, try reading Tithe; a Modern Faerie Tale by Holly Black. It's magic at it's scariest and most belivable.

no magic doesnt exists , this is mere a state of mind that u feel that magic is real. there is no magic word in this world but yes to some acts u can say that they can be done by the help of science. science in sepcial forms is known as magic but in some peoples life some accidents take place in such a manner that they feel that magic is there .
but the conclusion is that there is NO magic it is all science and it is better that people start believing it.

I believe more is possible than any human conscience gives credit to. I fall back on the fact that research shows the average human only uses 10% of their minds. What else are we capable of that we are not even aware of?
