I plan to order something in the mail. If the UPS guy shows up and I'm not home, does he usually leave the package at your doorstep or leaves a note saying that he came and that you need to pick up your package at their UPS office? It's my first time living in an apartment and I feel more comfortable leaving a note than have my package left on my doorstep because I'm concerned someone might mess with it.

Why is it that pastors will tell you that if you are sick that sickness has to leave in the name of Jesus and people die. Why is God so silent, ya ask for his help and he ignores and leaves you to deal with it on your own. final question: What does it mean when you try something and you fail over and over again and while youre trying youre asking God for his help but you still continue to fail and this failure goes on for years.

We in India use "encash" quite frequently as "encash a cheque or a demand draft". My American English spell checker corrects it to "cash". Isn't "encash" a standard English word?

Look back in the history of Christians. What havoc they have created on this earth in the name of God! Fighting other religions. Fighting between themselves causing horrendous bloodshed and pilage. The slave trade was incurred by Christians. The Arian nations are Christian. If there really is a God I don't believe He would look down at Christians with favour.

my neighbor has tons of company and we live very close where our doors are right next to each other, we live in a town house. we both have our own porches and he keeps his door open all day his house smells like pee and lord knows what else !!! I cant have any privacy on my porch he sees my every move !! and i cant take the foul smell any longer how should i tell him?

Evolution is not real science. It is pseudo-science. The scientific method cannot prove evolution. There is no experiment that can prove it, like there is that proves water is made up of H2O. It is still a theory.
Darwin used micro-evolution or development within species to invent macro-evoluion or development from one species to another.
Macro-evolution is impossible. An offspring cannot have an organ that did not exist in the parent.
Sadly most people including scientists, live in confusion.

There has never been any proof that demonstated that one species can evolve into a different new species. Darwin just assumed it was possible. We now have DNA that shows his mistake.

I am a junior in college and English is my first language. I am now taking Mandarin Chinese 101. I know its a little late to be learning such a complicated new language but I have a strong interest in the Chinese culture and I think learning Mandarin will be useful for me in the future. Are there any tricks or tips to learning the tones or any other facet of the language out there that have been useful to other Americans learning Mandarin? After a few classes, I'm a little overwhelmed with the complexity of the language, the characters and seeing just how different it is from English.
