You should check with your on-site office as they will usually accept packages for tenants. When I have something delivered, I usually have it sent to my office rather than deal with the hassle of having to pick it up. But you should still talk to your management and see if they offer that service.

If you do think you'll be home when the package arrives most shipping companies offer the ability for them to leave the package at your door without signature but only if you ask for it. Others will just leave it there. Find out from the shipping company what their policies are before you order. Then if you arent home, you may have to pick it up at their local office or even just your local post office. Note: Some delivery services will even try to redeliver rather than hold the package.

They'll just leave you a post-it note saying that they were there to deliver, and a date on when they'll be back. You have to sign for those packages, and if there's no one home to sign for it they wont leave it at your door.

UPS will get a neighbor to sign for it. If no one is available they'll leave a note and say they'll try again next day, and give a number you can call to say when, or give alternate delivery instructions.
