Some people say it's offensive for anyone who isn't black to wear cornrows or dreads, but I say unless they want to give up wearing jeans & go around in traditional African clothes, they're just a bunch of hypocrites who should be ignored.
As a previous poster mentioned you should have a good head of hair for it, but it's not true that all whites have thin hair. I'm not gonna try (very thin hair!) but I know several white people who have loads of hair and I'm sure they could pull it off without looking like a bare skull with a few pitiful thin strands!

Wha..? Is there a book somewhere that has a law or rule in it that only black people can have cornrows? It's a hairstyle. If your hair is long enough, cornrows can be done. How is a hairstyle supposed to offend? A race doesn't own a hairstyle.

i just think it looks horrible because there is not enough volume to non black hair and too much contrast with the skin so basically you have the look of a bald head with some little braids hardly covering it, ew.

Anyone is free to do anything they want to their own hair. So, it shouldn't be offensive. (Does it offend anyone if a black woman wear a blond wig, or dye her hair w/ a lighter color?) I bet your anwer is no. There's enough race issue in this world, please don't even start w/ this hair "stuff".

It doesn't offend me, but I don't think it looks good on non-blacks.

if you have blonde hair that will naturally get bleached by the actual sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who else had golden blonde hair that had been a medium brown near the bottom part. When he came back to university after summer vacation, it was nearly platinum blonde!

Jet black hair. I have truly dark brown hair and I think dark hair looks better. I may really like blonde hair.

I toss and turn in my bed at night just thinking about it!!!!! I mean, THE AUDACITY!!!! Who do these people think they are to wear their hair any which way they damn well please? Does it bother you to see weave that is long and silky being worn by people that don't have long and silky hair? Didn't think so. Keep it real and stop being racist.
