What does friendship mean to you if it has an ulterior motive on your part?

I am a Christian who supports Israel and Jewish bros, and sisters, also, Jews for Jesus, also,Fellowship of Christians and Jews, type churches/ orgs.., do the Methodist churches support this too ?

Are men scarred to apprach women more as the years go by, it seems like in the 60's 70's 80's men approached women more....and with more respect, it seems like my generation of men or more disrespectful and more scarred to approach women because they are too afraid of being rejected. i'm a nice looking girl and guys stare at me but they never approach me. i thought it was just me, but my friends feel the same way, it's like a "man-approaching" shortage. What is with men these days?

That just REEKS of cult mentality.

I know they recommend you not to mix. Why is this, even if it means cutting ties with close friends and family forever? My goodness, that doesn't sound Christ like at all. It sounds like a crazed cult afraid of losing members.

I might just cut myself in a new place today, oh this pathetic, mess up world. WHY do these stupid people think that God has "specily" pick them to be born? I'm serious, why would we be put through all this suffering? Is God a sadisitic? I'm so tired..

If judgement day comes and God says that I did this and that and so I can't be in heaven I wouldn't even shed a tear...what else can I expect, I feel like I'm being beaten down no matter how far I get.

Wouldn't life be easier without the concept of a God? It would just be life...

He has told us that the decisision has already been made.

Let me paraphrase: EVERYONE is condemned already. God says we ALL deserve Hell. BUT, if anyone repents and trusts Christ, then God will save that person.



Jhn 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

I really need some wisdom on this. Perhaps I'm just too religious. I recently found out my pastor has wine with dinner every now and then. Sometimes just to unwind, other times to 'set the mood' so to speak. I'm not sure what to think. My spouse and I are both in high positions of leadership in the church. They don't let members of the congregation know, or perhaps just a select few. I know the old, "IT HINDERS YOUR WITNESS" argument. Let's not go there. I get it. What else pro or con is IN THE BIBLE about drinking, especially in a position of leadership?

Okay, most of you clearly stated that you believe homosexuals are born that way. But there is no proof of this. There is also no proof of a higher being, yet you do not believe. Why one and not the other?

By the way, and like I said before, I think Atheists are totally cool and have their stuff together more than anyone else. I am in no way trying to argue or convert, or force beliefs, or anything like that. What I'm doing is just trying to have an intelligent discussion/debate with other intelligent people. I'm interested in why you'd believe one that that's not proved, but disbelieve in the other. I'm not strictly talking about the biblical/Christian god either. I'm talking about ANY higher power, and also human souls, also unprovable. I'm interested in the logic behind those brilliant minds.
