This question is for everyone not just Christians. Have you ever read the entire Bible cover-to-cover? What did you think & what religion are you??? (What faith are you, Mormon, Catholic, Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, and Jewish, etc?) Just curious...

Thank you, for your very descriptive answers about what you thought...I suppose I should have expected answers like that. I was really hoping I would get some intelligent objective opinion on what was actually read...Anyone else care to share their thoughts?

Yes I have read the entire Bible from cover to cover. It was the best thing to do because it shows how much I do not know. I am currently going through the Bible again cover to cover for a second time. I am a Bible Believing Born Again Christian.

Hi. I read the Bible through at least twice a year and have been doing such for about 10 years. Every time I read through, I find new insights. I'm a heavy marker so I'm on the 3rd or 4th Bible.
I've read a fair amount of the NT in Greek - it is so beautiful. The Bible is a phenomenal mosaic of borrowed mythology Babylonian Geneis/Gilgamesh Epic - Bible Prequel Gen. 1-11; history, metaphor, allegory, poetry, parable, correspondance, and Gospel.
I am a Christian. I read the heavy scholastic commentaries as I go along - I am addicted it is so beautiful.

Yes, but not in the order in which it is presented. I read Genesis through Joshua and my mind was numb from all the stuff in there that I skipped ahead to Ruth and read to Daniel and then I went and started in the New Testament and read clear through to the end of John's Revelation. I then went back and picked up the books I had left in the Old Testament and read them.
So, now I have read the whole thing at least once. Alot of it has been read numerous times.

not yet. but i am reading about 4 or 5 chapters everyday so i will finish by the end of the semester. I have already read the whole new testament and about a sixth of the old testament. I have looking over some of the other posts and the atheist people are wrong. there are no contradictions in the Bible and the Bible's contents are the wisdom directly from God Himself. if an atheist can try to name a contradiction, please do and i'll correct you.

Yes, I have read the Bible through, several times. I think it is a very interesting book for Christians and Jews alike. I'm not Christian. There really isn't a religious block to set me on... just count me as pagan.

I'm a Christian, and I have read the Bible cover to cover. My observation is the basic story, it starts with creation, then the fall of man, then there is redemption in Christ and the perfect creation being restored in the end.

Im an atheist, and yes, I've read the entire Bible several times. I think it's the most violent, horrible book ever written. The Bible is the main reason I would NEVER be a Christian, even if God existed.

Yes. Atheist. The problem with reading the bible that you need additional material to "understand" it. I think it has some cruel and idiot things in it. Some contradictions. Some nice things. Mostly i just don't think its the word of God.
