It makes no sense to be an atheist if you think about it.

If you're right and you die, nothing happens.

If you're a Christian, and you're wrong, and you die, then nothing happens.

However, if you're an atheist and you're wrong, you burn in Hell forever.

Believing in God is the only option that makes any sense.

I have heard it claimed by some Christians that the Old Testament prophesied that Jews would reject their coming Messiah. Could someone help me out, and tell me where this is written in the Old Testament? Thanks.

I know a lot of people are in a hurry to have a woman or a black person in the white house. This will be a great day when it happens but we need to wait for the right person to run.Electing a woman or a minority just to say we did it is wrong. The only woman qulified right now to run this country is Condeleeza Rice and the only black male qualified is Colin Powell. If we keep pushing to do this we are going to end up with Hillary , Jesse Jackson, or Al Sharpton and none of these would be good for our country.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for six months and I knew that he was Jehovah's Witness and he knew that I wasn't one. But one day he broke up with me and told me it was because of his religion. But got back with me about three or four days later. Then a week later he broke up with me for the same reason. But he knew from the beginning that he wasn't suppose to be with me if that's the case. So what is the deal with that?

I lectured while I was a graduate student at University. For the most part, the students were polite and didn't talk or interrupt while I was lecturing.

But since I've been in the workforce, I've noticed that the same cannot be said for adults who are being lectured to. I've noticed that these adults talk amongst themselves and often ignore the speaker. It's a very rude behavior and I find it surprising that they exhibit this behavior.

So, Valentines Day will also be my boyfriend and I's 1 yr anniversary. So that makes it a pretty big day. I have been trying to figure out what to get him for months.

I bought a picture frame that holds 8 picutres and made it into a sort of collage and put little artifacts on it.

Is that a good idea???? Would you like receiving that gift?

What else should I get him/ what would you suggest???

I wanted to get him something really personal and special.
A watch is NOT an option..he doesn't like watches.

I read this a lot on here. "That's not a true Christian / atheist / Muslim / ".

What's with those hollow statements?

I'm an atheist. I don't believe in a Higher Power. I know that my 'group' has lot's of people. Nice people, smart people, some dumb people, good people, bad people, etc, etc. But all people, and they share one thing: they don't believe in a god. Which makes them ALL atheists.

A person that believes Jesus died for our sins, is a Christian.

I think only a very insecure man feels the need to refer to himself as a 'real man'. An even more insecure man refers to others as 'those are not real men'.

So, what's the point of naming somebody else 'not real', or 'not true'? Is it to feel better about yourself?
