I have a question for you all. Honestly, have any of you ever said inside yourself with an open heart, "God if you are real, please show me?" If He doesn't then what have you lost? But if He does, then you have something really great to add to your lives.

Heh hee, they do not believe in God...that is why they are called Atheists.

I know what you mean though. And you are right, God loves them and all of us. But it kind of amuses them when we say that. It is like one of them would say to us :" Spaghetti Monster loves you and wants to save you"

Good. I am counting on God to forgive me and let me in to heaven when my time comes. I am an agnostic. Nevertheless, I would like to believe in God. Maybe things are so screwed up here on Earth because God is busy with some other planet and will make things better here when he/she/it has more time.

This is exactly what bothers us about Christian 'love'. It's not a term used to express an emotional attachment. It's wielded in a way to control and subvert, guised in kindness and generosity so that, when rebuffed, the recipient appears hateful.

Atheist do not believe that God exists. Therefore, they cannot "know that God loves" them.

Do you know that Santa brings you presents? It's much the same thing.

The difficulty is that believers believe that non-believers believe.

But they don't.

the only way for someone to find God's love is to search on their own, you cant force it on anyone.

Try loving people yourself and they will see God's love through you. (This is not a slam, it is just something that is important for anyone who believes in God to do) Dont "shove" God down peoples throat. Let them search and find themselves.

That fine. As long as he keeps out of my business he can love me all he wants.

Unrequited love can lead to stalking however.
