I'm doing this for a very important reason. I want to help counteract all the hateful quotes that some people use from religious texts to say that being GLBT is wrong and against God. I know if I were religious and questioning my sexual orientation or gender identity, I woud be deeply hurt and damaged psychologically because of it.
Therefore I propose this: I want people to post quotations from the Bible, Torah, Koran, the Sutras, Upanishads, etc. that they have found uplifting and have helped them reconcile their faith with their orientation/identity. (I'm naming texts at random here. Besides, it would be arrogant to assume that everybody on this section is Christian). Because for every piece of religious hate that is posted here, I want to have that counteracted with one of acceptance or love or whatever you want to call it.
And believe me, any haters will be reported not only by me, but everybody else here as well. Hate is not free speech.
