In the book of Revelation, on Patmos, John falls down, as if dead. This is a book about life after death. Didn't they have a more specific word? I don't think he was speaking in cliches, I think he was about seventy years late in realizing what Jesus was talking about. He didn't have a word for the experience, because that was the moment he was reborn, as a Christian. That baffles me. The entire Christian world is looking to the last surviving Disciple for guidance. And he gets hit in the head, as if by a brick!

So did Jesus baptize anyone--it seems a little contradictory to me:
John 3:22
After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
John 4:2
Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples.
And why can't anyone decide exactly who the apostles were:
Matthew 10:2-4
Simon (Peter)
Andrew
James (son of Zebedee)
John
Philip
Bartholomew
Thomas
Matthew
James (son of Alphaeus)
Lebbaeus (surname Thaddeus)
Mark 3:16-19
Simon the Canaanite
Judas Iscariot Simon (Peter)
James (son of Zebedee)
John
Andrew
Philip
Bartholomew
Matthew
Thomas
James (son of Alphaeus)
Thaddeus
Luke 6:14-16
Simon the Canaanite
Judas Iscariot Simon (Peter)
Andrew
James
John
Philip
Bartholomew
Matthew
Thomas
James (son of Alphaeus)
Simon (Zeolotes)
Judas (brother of James)
Judas (Iscariot)
Acts 1:13
Peter
James
John
Andrew
Philip
Thomas
Bartholomew
Matthew
James (son of Alphaeus)
Simon Zeolotes
Judas (brother of James)
I mean you would almost have to think that whoever wrote this really didn't know and just made it up as they went.

Pontius Pilate presided at the trial of Jesus and, despite stating that he personally found him not guilty of a crime meriting death, still handed him over to crucifixion.

It weirds me out how Jesus ascends into heaven at the beginning of Acts. It's like he floats up into the air and disappears. I mean, where was he going? Outer space?
