I just answered a question asking if jesus is god or son of god by saying that christians could not agree on this. Other answers proved my response to be correct but I still got thumbs down. Could it be that christians 'can't handle the truth'?

Because anything that challenges their "beliefs" is bad, ergo thumbs-down.

In a observe No. There are shoppers in this web site that favor to bypass around the area giving thumbs down out of badness or because they could! So i do no longer imagine that solutions must have factors deducted in the experience that they are chosen because the superb answer. The thumbs up in trouble-free words benefit factors even as an answer is selected because the superb. because the thumbs down facility is abused by using shoppers that's one facility that i'd favor to be sure faraway from this web site, different then that i'd go away each thing else on the sire simply by the undeniable fact that's now.

Some people may just use the thumbs down
simply just to say that they don't agree with you!!
not meaning it's a bad question or answer

I didn't give you a thumbs a down and I'm a christian. How do you know who did it?? Maybe it was nonbelievers upset you even asked such a thing. It seemed to me like you were wanting to know the answer. There are people who dont want people even asking about God, ya know.

Yeppers. I consider thumbs down to be that I've gotten someone to at least react to my answer. I don't care if it's down or up, but it's usually down...I've gotten thumbs down from the Xians, and the Atheists.

The fact is, all Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God and God. Those who deny both of these truths are not within the pale of orthodox Christianity since the deity of Christ and His Sonship are both essentials of the Christian faith.

Because Christians follow the teachings of Christ and accept people for their opinions and love their fellow man. Oops, just snapped back to reality. They hate and can not handle it when you question their faith. The Christians continue to be a group of people who do not think that anyone should think differently than them or have different morals. Don't worry, that actually is a good thing, it means your hitting home.

You can't take reactions that seriously when you don't know their source. The "thumbs downs" might be from otherwise intelligent people who just don't get where you're coming from on this one; on the other hand, they might be from people who read tabloid headlines about Elvis and aliens and believe them. Keep your chin up - it's what you think of your answers that matters most.

It only proved that there were more people who strongly disagreed with your answer than people who strongly agreed.

The number of people who agreed or disagreed with your answer but didn't care enough to rate your answer is unknown.

So don't try to get too much out of it.

I often accept thumbs down as a medal of honor that shows me I'm on the right track.
