How would Christian services like feeding the hungry/clothe the naked/give drink to the thirsty etc helps us to develop our conscience formation?

...but, when have there NOT been those things?

Hasn't every generation since the times of Jesus believed that they would see Jesus in their lifetime? And if a thousand years are like a day to God, isn't it likely that he's going to wait more than a couple of "days" before he comes back?

So, for those of you Christians who have Humvees, can you please buy an electric car instead? Thx.

A coworker, I am marginally interested in having as a friend, sings ALOUD. I do not listen to music so I can concentrate on my work. I enjoy the quiet when everyone listens to music. Her singing bothers me. She already apologized for her 'bad habit' of singing ...I lied, said, it did not bother me. She is more mainstream in the office climate than I am. I am all work and she has more friends. I am vying for promotions. Thank you. Please tell me what you'd do.

My boyfriend believes the world is going to end. I'm guessing this is coming from his very religious side. What makes him think this? My grandmother is a nun in the third order and she thinks he's a bit overthinking it. She says there have been no "signs". Having lived through the depression and all of the good stuff, she's heard the "end days" thing before....so who do I believe?

Well... I always had a problem of expressing myself because I was afraid of people finding out I was gay (wasn't ready to come out yet)... and well, I was thinking... if I come out, do you think it would help me become more of an outgoing and fun person to be around? I am myself around two friends who I've grown up with and they think that I'm a fun person, but when I'm with people I just meet they usually find me very boring and I become introverted. I'm just trying to think of the pros and cons right now about coming out and any input would be really helpful. Thanks for all serious answers.

Even if it was, how is that an insult coming from a Christian? I mean, they're a religion, too, so if Atheism being a religion makes it somehow less valid, then wouldn't the same lack of validity apply to Christianity, too?

I have read a question saying that Latinos are black, I've heared that before too. Aren't they from Spain? Aren't Spanish people white? Why are there so many labels for people I don't get it. I thought you had a few different races such as negro, caucasian and mongloid (or what ever that's called) So how come Latinos and the Spanish are suddenly black?
