If you say it does, are you not saying God is not capable of making creatures that can improve over time to match the environment? Thats not true, he does have the power to do that. Although I do not believe the theory of evolution, I do believe its possible, and would not discredit God in anyway.

I am a chef by trade yet I now work in department store and a pre op m2f transexual
I found many gay people in both careers many in the closet

Over the past few months I have spoken to many gay & transgender people around the world and found many others are chefs or were training has one at some time
or work in the IT / computer sector

So I am asking do you think your sexuality/ or gender issues influenced the job/ work you do?

...as if the number of people who believe in their religion (or lack thereof) has anything to do with the veracity of that religion (or lack thereof)?

There's lots of bad reasons to belong to something, including peer and familial pressure, ignorance, and just plain stubborness. Not to mention that a lot of the bigger religions historically have been spread via violence.

Why do people think that numbers are a measure of how "true" a religion is?

okay. im so sick of hearing "you're racist" when i tell people that i dont date guys of my own race (black) why cant ppl just understand that its not racism. im in no way saying they are any less of a person because they are black. i try not to stereotype. i dont hate them. i respect them just as much as i respect myself. IM JUST NOT ATTRACTED TO THEM!! how hard is that to comprehend? if i was racist i wouldnt have black friends and i wouldnt spend time trying to get to know black ppl. obviously looks are 50 percent of the package- i cant date someone that i dont find the least bit attractive. i didnt choose to be this way. no one chooses who they are attracted to. NO- i have not had any "traumatic" experiences to make me feel this way. my parents are great and my dad is awesome - they have nothing to do with this. oh and i dont just date guys for their race! this just happens to be what i think is attractive but if your an *** then it makes no difference. mmk message me if you want!!

Do you believe that "everyone should win?" When you have a game in school or competition such as fund raisers do you believe that everyone should win or should more emphasis be placed on who sold/won what? I think in real grown up life there are some winners and some losers. How you get that way depends alot on YOU. Should all children be told they are winners in a competition? If so what do you think they are learning about competition? Work ethic?

I am in no way saying to tell them, "They were bad because they didn't win" or "They should win at all costs". I think this teaches sportsmanship, which is a good thing.

The book of Job is one of the most telling of all. ALot of non-beleivers dismiss beleif in God as a belief in a tyrant or punisher, but the book of Job seems to clarify alot of those accusations. Job went through hell and received the kingdom. He went through a horrible tribulation and when it was all said and done he received 10 times more than what he had. Is that not the same as overall righteousness? those that accuse it all as a harsh experiment and so on, do not realize that the outcome willbe grand? It almost as Job is not a real person but our lives today or in the end time. Is that accurate or do you have a different spin on it? thanks!

On my older questions people always told me "Read the Bible!!".

So, I did that. It left me with a million question, and I still think it's a fairytale. Most questions I'm left with are about why people could even literally believe such stories.

Anyway, I read it. And now I read answers that literally say:

"How pathetic. An unbeliever who attempts to use the bible to make a point."

So, first you people make me read your book, and when I have an opinion about what you made me read, I need to shut up?

Can I safely conclude that "read the bible!" actually means "Oh, geezz, stop thinking and just agree with my version of the truth!" ??

I recently moved into an apartment on the 3rd floor, I have a 7 yr old, 4 yr old and 5 month old. Things were fine for about 3 months no problems, even through my baby's colicky period. Now however I cannot run my dishwasher, my washer/dryer, walk across my living room, take a shower, set my baby in her playpen or watch tv without my downstairs neighbor pounding the walls and ceiling so hard the whole apartment shakes. I understand that kids can be loud and I try desperately to keep my kids reasonably quiet. However from 9pm until 8am there is relatively no noise coming from my apartment. Am I supposed to walk on eggshells or is she just being unreasonable. FYI I have spoken to the manager who seems to side with me.
