Like, "blacks are stupid, whites are stupid" I don't believe. This is silly, we dont get to choose what color our skin is! it's not our fault!

Well, long story short, it definitely still happens...I would read about Affirmative Action and things like that. I am not a racist myself because I view the human race as one race...color is a product of one's environment, but we are all related somehow.

There is racism in our world today. Both by black and white and every other skin color. Because being "different" makes one feel
race is challenging. So everyone has some type of racism in them. We are all human beings and from Earth so this really makes us "one". Like it or not we all go back to the same beginning. Being racist is a state of mind. Feeling challenged by the the other race.Education and lack of Education is the reason
one race is more violent ,than other races. So to answer your question! Yes there is racism in our world but! It is brought on by lack of education not difference in the race of people.

As long as people continue to fear things they do not understand, or as long as people believe that they are somehow better off if their neighbors look or act like them. Then social prejudice will always exist. Nowadays segregation, and white/black racism is not "PC" so it has morphed into american vs. hispanic and elderly vs. youth prejudice.
From a genetic standpoint, the Idea of "Race" is actually pretty ridiculous, as the human species has relatively little genetic diversity. Statistically you are only very slightly more likely to have genes in common with your neighbor as you are with someone living in, say, Indonesia or Africa.
So, unless they are violent criminals, you probably shouldn't worry too much about making friends with the new guys down the street.

right on! It is sad that people constantly need validation that their "race" or "skin color" is better by the achievements of their ancesters in science, math, inventions, intelligence, etc...I see racists answers to questions such as "why Blacks are stupid" or "why blacks are loud" or "why black women are unattractive". It is quite annoying. God creating humans & everything God made is perfect.

Yeah it is still going on but perhaps someday in the near future, it will be different. Just keep watching Jerry Springer. His show is doing a lot for race relations. Before his show, we didn't realize that there were Whites who were not refined.

It's pretty rare to see racism in public, at least in my area. Come on to Yahoo Answers more often and you'll definitely see it. The closet racists come on here to spew their hatred.
