Sexual immorality?

Are we less sexually moral than the Romans who had sex with little boys for pleasure because sex with women was only for reproduction.

Violence?

Are we any less violent than the Vikings, the Mongols, the Grand Inquisitor.

A client of mine was telling me that these were the signs.....

Is that true?

i'd moved out, when i started uni this year. my mom, christian...apparently. i said something to her like, so how's church and she was like, i don't go anymore. so i started asking questions and she now says she doesn't know if there's anyone up there.....how could she lose faith just like that? did she really have the hholy spirit in her? surely if she did, she wouldn't give up when a few bad thing happen in life. that is the reason....life hasn't been too smoothe for one reason or another lately for her so she was like, welll why isn't God helping me....what do i say to her?

my family attends a non-denominational church.

don't tell me my mother has got her head screwed on now and is following the right path....atheism. i know there is a God, so don't tell me otherwise.

I'm eighteen years old. I've been an inofficial ex-Muslim for three years now. Throughout these three years, I've debated dozens of Muslims, some of them twice my age. And I have yet to meet a civil intelligent Muslim who knows how to make common sense and how to base their opinions on facts and not vice versa. All I get is Muslims who use circular reasoning, cliches, copy-paste, irrelevant facts, personal attacks, religious ideology, and uninformed opinions, despite the fact that I always try and make my arguments as academic as possible. No doubt this is obvious to anyone who would read Muslim answers and questions here. Now why are Muslims so lacking in debating skills? Why, instead of real debate, do they use evasive and misleading tactics? I find it frustrating, intellectually dishonest, and rude. And even look here, I promise some Muslims will answer in the exact same way I discussed above, or report me to shut me up.

I always get these words from older people, and i try to tell them them no!!! those were the best years of your life, not mine!!, but then they say, "Your young right now when your older you will understand". I cant stand people that say this. Does that mean i should kill myself at 20 because my fun days are over? hell nooooo!!!!! What do you think of these people? and if you are one of them, then why do you think your teen years were the best of your life?

It's really werid because when I am reading on a plane or something sometimes people walk up to me (or the person sitting next to me ) will say 'Oh, I didnt know you knew how to read'. They think because most african americans are portrayed to speak slang that there is a problem with it. They always ask me is my brother my child and its a good thing I am staying in school. (they think I am his mom) Why do people automically aussume because you are a certain race you do things portayed on tv.

Yes, it does happen to other races.

2 brothers where playing in the yard and 1 of them found a butterfly trap in the spider’s web. The spider begins to approach the butterfly, but then the boy reaches to save it from the spider’s web. As the boy reached to help the butterfly his brother crashes the spider. The 1 who tried to save the butterfly got angry and asked his brother why he killed the spider. The brother replies, because you wanted to save the butterfly from the spider. His brother replies no I wanted to save them both! The one who killed the spider then said Spiders need to kill butterflies or they will die of starvation so if you keep saving the butterfly the spider would die away. So to spare the butterfly and to ease the spiders suffering you should just kill the spider. The one you saved the butterfly said no you don’t have the right to take the life of the spider. He wanted to save them both.

My question is: would you save the butterfly or kill the spider?
Basically asking who do you feel is right.

Personally:

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.

I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.

I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other peoples' gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickles for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked
