Because they're too old to clearly remember what their teens were like...
People remember the good stuff and sometimes forget about bad things very easily.

Tony, speaking for the "older" generation, the person was somewhat correct, as I am sure, he/she probably felt the teenage years were the best for him/her. Being a teenager, your responsibilities are limited, as is your accountability. You are not expected to always make the right decision; whereas, once you become an adult, you will be looked at (by others) differently. The expectations change and things tend to get a little more complicated. You have your freedom (more than teenagers) but with it comes more challenges in the adult world. Life is what you make it and your adult years can be just as fun, but it will be different - so yes, enjoy those teen years. You'll have great memories to look back upon when you get my age (like I have). :)

I think my teens have been the best years of my life...and i'm only 18! I mean, little or no responsibility except for myself, no bills to pay, i've got loving parents who provide for me, a comfortable home to go to....what more an i want! I can do what i want with few consequences.....i'll soon get some freedom, but it means paying bills, providing for myself etc. Don't get me wrong, i can;t wait to provide for myself, just there;s more pressure as you get older. As a teen you're able to experience so much stuff, you're entering the adult realm bit by bit!

Hey your teen days are the best because you have nothing to worry about like food home transport where to get money security etc beacuse these things are provided by your parents.
When you reach adulthood you alone have to get all these things and a whole lot more BY YOUR DAMN SELF WITH NO HELP FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD WHO DOES`NT GIVE A FLYING SQUAK ABOUT WHO YOU ARE............
So try and enjoy your days while you have them cause reality really is not all that nice......

I think all your years are the best years of your life if you allow them to be. And if they are not good years for you then you work on them to change them and make them better. My teenage years were not good to say the least. But i worked hard to turn things around. Good Luck.

I agree with hippycat...Im only eighteen and I miss my teen/highschool years....no worries no responsibilities, you can always rely and depend on your parents....you can SPEND their money (not all the time for me )....you wont truly understand until you get old enough!
