Okay, so the government can in their infinite wisdom decide that people of the same sex cannot marry, that a man can't have more than one wife, and that a young woman like Anna Nicole Smith can't marry an old billionaire. Wait, they can't stop Anna. And even if they don't want to recognize it as a marriage, the government can't stop two men (or women) from living together as though they were married. As a matter of fact, if a man wanted to be polygamous, as long as he didn't try to marry all of them, he could live with as many women as he could get to fall under his spell.

The point here is that all the government can do is regulate the "legal" marriage, but they can't stop people from living the way they want.

So what can advocates for the "traditional" family do to protect it?

There is a HUGE f*cking double standard in this world!

Men can look like complete garbage and people will still respect them and judge them by their personality.

Women can look average and no one wants to hear what she has to say unless she transforms into a supermodel.

Tell me half these models you see on tv have the slightest bit of intelligence? Vida is a dumb ***, and so is Giselle.

Do you remember when Ruben Stutter won American Idol? No bad talk. But everyone thinks Kimberley Locke is fat. Simon is always talks **** about how someone should loose weight but have you ever seen him address a man? Or any part of a guy's physical appearance.

I have two best friends, the first is a size 6/8 and the other a size 0. They are both attractive but when we are all out the guys don't look at either of us, just the size zero.

I'm not paranoid I just feel left in the dark. My whole life I was taught to be kind to others, generosity, smile and maintain a moral. NONE OF THAT MATTERS!

Some children these days are forced to go to church and learn about the bible and are told it is all complete fact. And that science is all complete lies and to ignore it at all cost if it disrupts your religion. This is told to someone that instantly beleives in the tooth fairy easter bunny santa clause so on. How can this abuse of children be stoped.

If someone is Christian and believes in Christ, God, and Satan, can these things be mixed with their understanding of God? Many people into New Age and New Thought Beliefs keep visualization boards or journals, and repeat affirmations daily. I know certain scriptures are similar to affirmations such as "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and similar scriptures?

My family is protestant, specifically Brethren in Christ and my father recently announced that he already made plans to be cremated upon death. I was angry because I always thought it was a sin, or at least not what God wants. He is doing it only because it is cheaper...........a stupid reason if you ask me.
When the time comes and my father is cremated, will he be accepted into Heaven?

go through all the emotions like anger, sadness , despair etc when confronted with mans ignorance, lack of empathy and sheer cruelty to innocent animals ? I watched a few shows on Animal Planet tonight and I am flabbergasted by what I saw. For example, I've heard some say that obviously, wealthy people were smart enough to become wealthy, and poor people aren't smart enough to get out of poverty.

While I can somewhat comprehend this perspective, I find it a short-sighted generalization. Is it a common belief that the rich are smart? Does anyone here think this way? If so, why?
