No, you shouldn't feel guilty I would worry about a car with a 16 year old behind the wheel to. And besides she is only 16 I am sure she doesn't "need" the car yet anyways so don't feel guilty just be hesitant until she gets her own car.

Nope....this entitlement mentality is destroying our teens...don't be afraid to have boundaries (which includes the word no)...you better get some put in place before it gets out of control....you are going to have a much tougher time to pull in the reigns once you have let her run the show for too long....get a spine....say no, this is my car, I will let you occasionally have the privilege of using my car....but we are not going to make it an everyday event. If she throws a fit...just say...okay....there is a quick fix to this....we will just say there will be no car privileges....here's your choice....occasional privileges....no privileges....occasional privileges....no privileges...take your pick. Take the reigns back mama....Why you would feel guilty is beyond me....oh yeah....you don't want to be disliked...you want to be her friend....sorry....your job is to be the parent....now get with it. No!

Not at all. You;d feel worse if she totalled it or due to her inexperience hurt herself or another. Instead, tell you you want her to gain more experience and go driving with her. Once you are confident in her ability you will feel better about makin the decision to let her drive alone.

don't feel guilty.. moms have this maternal instinct, if you don't feel she should drive your car you have the right to say no, it's for her safety and your piece of mind.
