through their actions and beliefs?

More details, ok. Well for one they are always trying to push their views on you, handing out pamplets and such you hardly ever see that out of an episcopalian, catholic, protestant. And why do they feel the need to come up your door during dinner and introduce themselves and go into why their church is the place for you

I experienced what you are talking about. I attended a church, that use to worship and associate with other churches in the area, and it was very special. All those churches believed in the essentials of Christianity. Then the wonderful pastor retired and we got a Pastor that totally distanced himself and the church from other brothers in sisters, because they did not believe the same way about the non-essentials. Virgin birth, death and resurrection of Christ, the inerrant word of God, Heaven and hell etc are essentials to believing and having eternal life. Some things are not. True evangelicals will worship and associate with other churches. I do not attend that church anymore due to the fact that they think they are the only true church. Churches should only distance themselves if the other churches are cults and not true Christ followers.

I'm an Evangelical Christian. I am open minded and do not distance myself from others regarding their actions or beliefs.

Um, because it's a different denomination? That's how denominations are distinguished- by their actions and beliefs.

I didn't know they were.

They're against abortion, so are mainline denominations.

They believe in charitable works, ditto.

They believe in family values, ditto (mostly ditto, anyway)

Maybe you should be more specific.
