Yes,
Emile Coué first used the affirmations.. “Day by Day in Every Way” and “Every Day in Many Ways”… , successfully in the 1920’s. Affirmations, or as I prefer to call them, Verbal Remedies work by enacting your creative visualization. The way to write and recite your own precision affirmations is to make your statements: Positive, Present, Personal and Specific. Here are some useful resources for getting your mind around your own verbal remedies: http://www.psychic-junkie.com/verbal-remedies.html

The majority of these "New Age" beliefs were actually practiced way before christianity. So of course, some affirmations of the "Old Age" beliefs are going to coincide with some scripture. Regardless of your religious belief, it's always a good idea say affirmations and visualize your intentions because your thoughts are energy and the energy you put out will come back to you. That is a universal law.

Of course it can. Just don't ask a Christian leader because they are too filled with the pride of being Christian. I had never heard of "New Age" until after I started "seeing" after my meditations for high blood pressure, and that was from a minister who said my questions could be considered by some as evil. Honestly, they are very similar and would offer many explanations for how Jesus's miracles were done. If you'd ever had a out of body experience, you would understand more about how we are ALL connected to God and religion itself is not real.

Scriptural affirmations are okay, so long as it doesn't become the "blab it-grab it" variety and doesn't interfere or substitute with your study of the Word. Your quote from the book of Phillippians is good, so long as the will of the Father is always kept in mind.
If you use visualizations that exalt yourself over the will of God, they are from the enemy. Just my opinion...

There's no need to mix Christianity with such beliefs.

of course you can
and to be honest , if you ask me
everyone should hold a little of each belief to be truely spiritual
there is so much to learn out there and they should not conflict with each other in any way if you are taking the spiritual aspects from them

ABSOLUTELY. That's actually my belief. Christianity mixed in with Edgar Cayce prophecies (New Age), and a dash of agnosticism ;).
