my mate wants to do one. I'm very sceptical of all that spiritual stuff so i suppose i've got nothing to lose. Just wondered if anyones had any weird experiences doing them?

I've noticed that in many European and Caribbean countries, public nudity is not a big deal, but here in the US, we see nudity as taboo. Why is that?

I was trying to be light-hearted and funny and put, "Glass slippers. Be sure to lose one of them at midnight!" and was reported for this answer. I guess stupid humor is not appreciated by some, so much so that they feel the need to report it. I only report answers that are flat-out awful (vulgar, racist, etc. etc.). What criteria do you use, personally, to "report abuse"?

Currently, some (wealthy) people are being cryogenicly frozen so they can be later thawed and cured of what ever ails them (be it disease or even old age).

Many believe that the best way to do this is to cut the head from the body just before death and freeze the head ONLY (this is done because a head can be frozen much more rapidly; and they figure that by the time medical science can cure their disease, they will be able to grow them a new body as well).

MY QUESTION is, if we had the ability to keep the decapitated BODY alive, would we morally obligated to do so?


FOLLOW UP QUESTION:
Are we obligated to protect the life of a embryo/fetus that has just as much/little capicity for thought as the headless body?

And please don't start with the ressurection garbage since absolutely no historical evidence exists to support it,it's a non starter. Lets go with the facts,thousands of people were crucified by the Romans,and in fact they aren't the only culture to use a similar mode of execution. In fact when Spartacus and his followers were crucified some one hundred years before Christ there were thousands of men hung up on both sides of the appian way for miles and miles,where their bodies were left to rot and fall apart on the crosses which were not pulled down until the body was completely gone. That seems a much more important event than one religious zealot and a thief or two,so what incredible lack of perspective leads this one event to cause one man to be deified and have his name used to oppress and commit the most heinous atrocities for the next 2000 years?

There is a girl where I work who has gone off the deep end. She is a large girl and has always been nice to my face. I became friends with a man in the office in which she *was* friends with his wife. I have also met the wife and we get along great. Well, this large woman seems to be jealous of the friendship I have with the man. She has slammed doors, even confronted him and told him she's jealous. Very WEIRD. She has gone to our supervisor and said that she thinks there is something going on between him and I. Our super talked to him and told him just an "FYI" that our friendship is being perceived as more. Then yesterday, this large woman comes to my desk, in front of 2 other co-workers and is grilling me about whether or not I am hanging out with this other couple. If we have ever gone to their house, etc. It was very intimidating and made me uncomfortable. It's bad enough she has the office convinced we are having an affair. Now she's confronting me in the workplace? What do I do?

I am very concerned for a dear old friend of mine who is being threatend by her next door neighbours. They want her to move out so they can have a young couple or a family living there instead.

There's been firecrackers through the letterbox, grafitti sprayed on the front door and not to mention verbal abuse whenever she goes outside. The abuse started after she lost her husband, about a year ago, but has gotten worse the last couple of months.

I went down to visit her some weeks ago and was shocked by the neighbours behavior. The police doesn't take it seriously and I did speak with some other neighbours, but they didn't want to get involved.
She doesn't want to sell her house which she has lived in for almost 50 years. I fear for her health as well as her safety as this is a great strain on her.

Please, can you give me some advice on how to help her?
