Well, I dont think much of myself, but deep down I guess I know Im a good person, heck people tell me so all the time. Im trying real hard to change my life, new clothes, makeup, work, gym, everything.

But, some of these girls I see with a lot of confidence come off as conceited or bi*chy.

How, do I gain self esteem without coming off as that?

This one may depend on where you live (so maybe you can list the city and state you live in). The Europeans think we're all a bunch of Bible-thumping dimwits. The Muslims think we're all a bunch of godless heathens. America thinks of itself as quite a godly nation. But recent surveys showing premarital sex rates at 95%, when you think about Hollywood's smut, when you think about how much porn America consumes---what's the deal. Is a the average American a morally decent, religious person?

This question is going to be raised a lot in the coming days and weeks.
What do you think only as a Christian?
Yes, all those non-Christians have their comments and we already know what you think of God and faith, so if you’re answering, it is only for point gaming, not that you have anything new to say.

There seems to be many answers.
It can be said he would not have asked for Salvation in Christ, because he was Muslim, so what does that say for all Muslims, as well as other non-Christian beliefs? Are they all going to hell or non-existence?
If not, does that mean non-Christians can gain Salvation? But, if they can, than does that mean that Saddam can?
We have a Catch-22.
Finally, since Christ couldn't go to heaven until after he was resurrected, what does that say for everyone else?
Does everyone, except Christ, get a direct ticket, or do they wait until the resurrection?

I'm gay and quite undecided and confused about the whole gay-marriage thing. We (gays) are supposed to be a bit more open minded than our heterosexual counterparts. Until a few years ago marriage was an institution between a man and a woman. Now it’s altered and accepted (in some places) for two men or two women to 'marry'. Frankly, I believe in love and if two people are right for each other they should be together, not necessarily 'married' the conventional way. But is that the end of it? Here goes...

Note: I'm not trying to gross you out, but outing my thoughts -

Now what would happen if say, two siblings (regardless of gender; male/female,male/male,female/female) say they are in love (not the sibling love!) and want to marry, or on whole another level, if three people love each other unconditionally and wants to get married, how can someone say their love is not pure or someother reason not to get married?

A Pastor friend of ours in Southern California has a very beautiful church, the congragation was sent ot to the homeless to share the Gospel "and invite " the homeless to church.

The congragation went out did waht they were supposed to and invited people in . At one point a part of the congragation began to complain that " these people " were messing up the carpet in the lobby.
The Pastor then had the carpet ripped out and the lobby left bare.
MY Question is . What was the message the Pastor was giving to his flock ?

Phoenix, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Dallas, Las Vegas....

Here's how I rank them from most conservative and religious to most liberal/secular (THIS INCLUDES THE SUBURBS)...

Indianapolis, Denver, Salt Lake, Atlanta, Kansas City, Phoenix, Minneapolis, Las Vegas...

Salt Lake is actually mostly non-Mormon and Dallas tends to vote more for Democrats. Denver, with the suburbs, is pretty conservative. What do you think?

I fear Him, yes, as I know that the only way is thru Him, but I don't know if I "love". It saddens me to say this but I feel alone and abandoned, as though He doesn't hear me, or if He does, He hasn't sent any comfort my way. Have any of you ever felt this way? How do you get back to God's loving embrace? Thank you to all who respond with consideration.

I have suffered so much stress, worry, and fear, when my son was in Iraq. My worst nightmare, was he would be killed (pretty natural). My nightmare came half true, when i got a call, to say he was involved in an ambush on his convoy, and fellow squaddies were maimed. My son took shrapnell in his eye, eight bullets in his vehicle (he was driving) and was breaking down, but he was ALIVE. He returned home, now suffering ptsd, serious mental trauma, saw his colleagues shot up. I have been told today, one of my best friends, from years gone by, has had her son killed in Iraq. I feel devastated, i cannot pull myself together, new year or not, i am so gutted. Please help! Is this a normal reaction, or just she has realised my worst nightmare, and i cannot comprehend her pain?
