I don't think America is the greatest country on Earth. But I'm not downing my nation. I'm just being realistic.
First, I'm not sure how a country would be classified as the "Greatest." Are we talking about military might, personal civil rights and freedoms, economic activity, or a combination of all those things? It seems one country could be greatest in one area, and another nation might exceed in other areas.
Second, most of us in the U.S.A. haven't lived in other countries, and almost none have experienced that life as a native would. So we have no way of comparing our native experience as U.S. citizens with the experience of other people in the world.
And third, it feels a little immature to compare our country with another. Yes, this might be the liberal in me, but then, when you go to a party, you don't walk around announcing to everybody that you're wearing the best suit, do you? Hopefully you don't even think it.
No, I don't think this the "Greatest country on Earth." But I do think it is a great country, and I'm thankful to live here.

I can't truly say that America is the greatest country on earth because it's a matter of opinion. I haven't lived in another country or experienced the culture of other countries to say that America is the greatest one of them all, I would be biased if I said that! But I do believe America is great country, we have our faults just like other countries!

The question requires some method of quantification or qualification, i.e., a definition of what makes a country "great." That being said, I do think that America is the most arrogant country on Earth, and therefore it's the "greatest" in some sense of the word.

All country has it's problems. I think that America is a good country in some ways but not on others. For example: There is still a lot of racism and wars. So I don't think it's a 100% peaceful country.

I think America is ruining the world. They are trying to take over everything and they should be stopped. I know I live in America but I hate what they are doing. They think they have rush into other countries and "save" them when they are really working for themselves. I don't care if I sound paranoid. I hate the fact that Americans think they are higher than everyone else because we are so great. Well it is nonsense. I will give my heart to a country that lives with honor rather than lots of money any day.

I think it is true, and I don't think that anyone who answers to the contrary will have anything to back it up. We are not perfect, but we are by far the best. I know two doctors who have lived all over the world and they say it is by far the best. A college professor says it is not perfect, but it is the best. Let those who criticize go to a country run by a dictator and try to live the free life we do here.!!!

Because no one is better than the other.
You can't just say that the USA is the best place in the world, it's non-sense.
We must all live together and not think that we are the best in the world, but learn from our mistakes and respect the world around us.
