why does the bible say thingsn that confuse us??
a guy who answered me on this site told me that i should read the Gospel of Barnabas because it wasn't changed as much over time which teaches us that god has no wife or son. then y do other gospels say the jesus is- such as the angel that told mary jesus would be god's son or something like that.

If you were pretty sure that your partner were in the relationship just to bide time and/or had no intentions of settling down and you wanted to. What would you do? If the relationship were good, with the rough spots that most all relationships had, would you stay invovlved and work through the rough spots even if you knew that their were no promise for the future?

I was surprised to find out that in many verses in the Quran, god orders early Muslims to be harsh to ALL infidels, even their own fathers.

The Quran [9:113] did not even allow Muslims to ask for any mercy or to pray for forgiveness for their own fathers if their fathers were not Muslims!

I am asking why should Muslims be that harsh to non-muslims? even to their own fathers?

personally I think that I should be nice to my father even if he does not believe in what I believe in.

Does anyone agree with me?

Why is it that being Catholic or Christian seems to be the only "normal" religion that people understand. Yesterday at afamily gathering someone mentioned that I was Buddhist and the room was shocked. You would have thought I had a sex change. I was really shocked. Seems like people expect you to tell them you are either Christian or Catholic. Why the stereotypes? I personally am respectful of all religions and think it is great that anyone belong to anything that assists them in feeling spiritually grounded.

I went to CVS over the holiday weekend, and there was a VERY long line at the pharmacy. There was a man looking very disgruntled in line. He had about 5 Hallmark cards in his hand. When he got up to the register, he got his prescription, paid for that, then hid the cards behind the bag and walked out...

How could he do that on Christmas... and stealing gifts no less? He was well dressed, not a bum by any means, in a nice town too...

i was just watching this show and they were discussing thie topic of music censorship. im already excluding the narrow minded ignorance that this is just rap. i listen to various kinds of music so i can already tell you its not just rap! but on the show they were just acknowledging the fact that rap is an artistic expression of the "black mans" experience in the ghettos of america. (all minorities not just black) do we censor the music (hard rock, gangster rap, etc) that we fear will influence younger generations (im 16)even though it violates the constitutions right of freedom of speech? is the media and environment responsible for influence on children or is it the parents job to monitor what they listen to/watch? there is so much more that falls into this -the fact that the people allow corportations to sign these violent artists on record deals (in the end the people do have a say to what they respond to)-or do they have a right to profit regardless? what do u think?!

If you were Saddam Hussein right now, and u could choose either to stay in prison for the rest of your life, or be killed, what would you choose?

I'd probably choose life in jail, cause at least, you can DO something about the rest of your life. U know what they say... "Every day above ground is a good day!"
