Please read the writings of the early fathers of the Church.
I'm not speaking of the heretics such as the Gnostics and other fringe heretical individuals and groups who did not have anything to do with the Apostles. It's important for one to know the difference between the teachings that came from the apostles and the heresies.

Because they are Protestants, and that means that they Protest.... the way the Bible was interpreted for 2000 years.

we protestants (and it may blow your mind to discover that we ARE Christians) don't think we can interpret the Bible better than 2000 years of Christian interpretation; rather, we don't believe that the vatican has provided much in the way of Christian guidance-and we believe that we are saved, as the Bible states, by grace through faith. when Christ was crucified, the veil in the temple was ripped from top to bottom, signaling the end of any need for any earthly intercession between God and man...we no longer have any need for elaborate rituals, icons of gold and jewels, bizarre man made lines of authority (to divvy up the spoils of 2000 years of conquest, plunder, and genocide) ,incomprehensible theological interpretations and re-interpretations by folks with more brains than common sense and more love of learning, authority, and their own petty political wheeling and dealing than for the believers they are supposed to be serving... Christ is the authority, for He alone is the Son of God...not some old guy in a funny robe sitting on an earthly throne pretending to be infallible...Christ drove the moneychangers from the temple, calling it a 'den of thieves'...not much has changed since then...just the address of the temple, and the titles of the thieves

Did the Catholic Church also teach you that it was the Pagan Roman emperor Constantine that ordered the "preparation" of new bibles to "replace" the ones already in use and that those who "prepared" the new bibles edited, re-wrote, deleted, added, and changed the scripture to reflect proper Roman political needs. The teachings of the apostles were made up by those members of the Emperor's Universal Church to control to population by order of the Emperor, who was not baptized until his death bed, and who still practiced the Pagan Roman religion to the day he died

What do the details matter?
As long as you are a good person and treat others with respect, does it matter whether or not you eat meat on Friday or keep your dairy products away from your meat products? (Or any other of a million silly little rules.)
Live your life the way you think is best and don't hurt others. Any God that doesn't reward that kind of life, is not one in which I can believe.

Protestants are like obnoxious teenagers who think they know sooooooo much more than their parents. It would be funny, maybe even cute, if it weren't so dangerous and deadly.

Protestant is a general term for anyone who isn't Catholic or Muslim. You can't make blanket statements like that and expect them to have any validity.

I think that if you want answers, you should get on your knees and ask God to show you what the answers are. I suggest reading the Bible. Good luck.

Constantine and his twisted Vatican do not interpret - they revise and twist!
Sprinkling?
