Allright so on Christmas day we go over to my brother in law's house for dessert. They all ready had dinner with the sister in law's family (my husdand's brother's wife's family). I notice on the dinning room table a very familiar looking piece of tupperware being used -its MINE! Hmm? I thought- what do I do? I've needed this back for quite a while now. We are really not that close, so I never really wanted to say anything unless she brought it up. Basically I was just waiting for her to make the move and give it back with out asking for it. So at the end of the evening everyone was leaving and I noticed one of her sisters packing up the dishes of food she brought over and there was my tupperware. She took it home with her! So I casually ask sisterinlaw if she has a chance, could she please give me the 2 tupperwares of mine that she has. Sure she says no problem! I never got them back last night. What do I do? I cant keep insisting- that would be rude, I guess. Her sister has my stuff!

I have worked with lots of people and different nationalities, but it seems like black women do not get along with fat white women. I'm a thin white girl, and I've just noticed this and am wondering if it's true that maybe black women feel threatened or intimidated by these fat white women b/c, including from questions on here I've read, black women feel black men go out with fat white women a lot? Also, it seems like in "black culture" to be "fat" is to be beautiful with a body, and so black women feel jealous that the white women can have "their" bodytype? As if only black women can be fat, and also, maybe people seem to find it irritating when a person doesn't meet a stereotype. It seems a lot of black women streotype white women as being anorexic and flat, which with fat white women, they do not meet that stereotype. Is it true that some, I know not all, black women mght think this? Or does any woman feel proud to be "fat" and jealous of somebody else for being that way?

i received from my husband's sisters and mom a pair of cowboy-like boots, a babyblue turtleneck sweater.... nothing wrong with that - right? but it is so not my style... the sweater's fabric is itchy... i'm never cold and i hate sweaters.i'm not into the cowgirl style.

I've noticed in the last few weeks that Yahoo! may not be as 'free and open' as most would expect. As far as I know, we still live in a society of free speech, where people may ask perfectly reasonable questions on such topics as the government, royal family, and issues about MP's.

Or do we?

Just one example of the Yahoo! Police: a person asked a question about Princess Diana's death, and it was suspiciously removed by Yahoo! Why? I'm not saying that the question itself was the best I've seen, nor was I all that interested in it, but it seems to have triggered a knee-jerk reaction from Yahoo! that raises more questions than the Diana question did.

Have you had a question deleted that seemed perfectly sane and within reason? Are you sick of being told what you can and can't say or ask? Treated like a child?

I think it's important we keep an eye on such behaviour - it smacks of control to many.

I do NOT wish to debate whether the issue about Jesus and Mary Magdalene marrying and having children is true or false.

My question is, if it were true why would it be a big deal? I don't think there would be anything wrong with Jesus having a family, after all having a wife and kids is a good thing that brings happiness. Also, would Jesus's divinity (as told in Christianity) be any lesser if he did have children? I don't think so, but what do you think? Would it affect your belief system at all?

I have never met a Muslim who understood this issue or who refused to apologize for pedophilia.

THE ISSUE: Whether or not an adults marriage to a child (pedophilia) should stand as an example of excellent conduct for all time.

Muslims always respond with "back then it was common". This shows totaly ignorance of the issue.

In Islam, everything Muhammad did is the excellent eternal example. So every act of Muhammads will always be the standard to follow.

SO, even if it was common "back then" for adults to marry kids, under Islam, what was good for Muhammad back then is perfect for Muslims today.

However, Muslims, please help me out. When and where was it ever common for old men to marry kids? Kids marrying kids, yes of course, but adults to kids? Show me.

I love listening to foreign languages. I could listen to French, Italian, Chinese or Japanese all day long. I love the sound of them, but when it comes to Spanish it's like nails on a chalk board. Even reading it annoys me. Take the following example:

It's some question to people that like dancing to Raggaeton, but just look at it! Doesn't it make your head hurt? The words are so unnecessarily long and it's so gender oriented. Having to conjugate differently for a man and a woman, how bloody tedious is that! And don't even get me started on the subjunctive. Let's have an altogether different conjugation to express doubt and uncertainty, shall we?

P.S. Don't ever ask a Spanish speaker for directions. By the time they tell finish telling you, if you had just asked someone in English, you would be there already! Take it from me - I've missed many a highway exit and turn off because of this.

the mayas were very intelligent people who were famous because of their mathemathical advancements. She insists I call her for every little thing, but when I do call, she's nasty like I've ruined her day. I work in a private household 3 days a week and I've taken that house from disgustingly filthy to pristine clean. It's just her and her husband, no kids, but lots of animals. They have other workers there and altho this woman is nasty at times to them too, she'll call back and apologize, but not to me, when she calls back she does a 180 degree turnaround. I'd like to know why she is like this and how do I deal with it. I have other homes I clean and those people really appreciate me, and this woman acts like I'm raining on her parade.
