In the new testament, Jesus proved his claim of godship, by raising nazarirth from the dead, not to forget he was raised from the dead, with many recorded witnesses, and with thomus getting his prof that Jesus was not a spirit but a physical being. No where before in history, or any other relidgine, did any other man prove such a great mirical
Today people believe that miricals/spiritual gifts are not for today, yes we do need "love"(1cor.13:1-13 "Not man's natual love", but Christ Jesus Supernatual Love. (BIG DIFERANT'S). Seeing Poor reflection in 1st Cor 13:12 ,is refering to reading the word of God, with out the Spirit of God, which is Christ. Jesus claims to be the Word of God (Ramer Word). He is the perfect, that is to come.He is the Reverlation of The Word. Reverlation is the perfect to come. when the church is in unity world wide and denomanation is no more, (the Church has become one under christ.) full of Reverlation, there will be no sick in the church. one would you pick? As I said, the two people were identical in every way--their only difference was eye color. Which one would you choose?

I have to add the following disclaimer because when I posted a similar question in another category, everyone thought I was asking for help in choosing a life mate and that I was basing that choice on eye color. THIS IS A HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION. I am not talking about twins or anything like that. You have two people whose personalities and looks are identical except that one has brown eyes and one has blue eyes. You can only be with one, and each one would make you equally happy.

Let's suppose, for the sake of arguement,(which is mostly all that goes on here anyway),that your god exists.
Is he good or bad?
Prove it.
Let's let the faithful give their proof of all of the good things he has done for them, and some of us can remind them of all of the bad qualities as we see them.(Like when he supposedly killed almost every single life form on the planet during a flood.)
I promise not to use each individual death as one bad point apiece.
C'mon,it will be fun!
Put your $ where your mouth is.
If you really want to have some fun,I'll ask again later and we can answer using only the bible.
BTW,if I can't use each individual death, then his allegedly dying for all of you only counts as one act as well...

For those who dont know, web weaving is getting in touch with other pagans and witches in your community.
I live in a small town and have started a coven with my husband and a few others, but I would like to expand, not just to get new members, but also to develop some sort of pagan community.
Any ideas?

I have noticed that many questions and answers about religion and spirituality are quite antagonistic. Do you think that we might be able to discuss things rationally, logically and unemotionally if the wording is more civil? Or are people so bigoted that all we can expect is ranting?

I'm sure everyone got something they could use for Christmas, but did you get what you hoped and wished for? Did you get what you wanted from your heart, the thing that maybe you didn't even tell anyone you wanted?

I've read a lot of the standard explanations, but here's the thing. Up to that point in the Bible - Genesis 1 - God was characterized by one thing: creation. All a (theoretical) first-time reader knows about God is that He creates. So does that mean that we, as God's "image," are creators as well? Jack Miles seems to think so ("God: A Biography"). What does this imply for those who have "created" very little, particularly in today's Web 2.0 age where all, regardless of skill, are invited to contribute their creations? What if you can't create anything at all, even crap? What are you then?

I have a book called "The order of things" by Bara Ann Kipfer. She has a section in it about the religions with the largest followings. These religions are in the list and I have never heard of them before: Baha'ism, Shintoism, Christian Scientist, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism.

The monotheistic Christian God is three parts but one: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. This Trinity has always been and always shall be. How could one inseperable part be born or begotten and how could it die and rise again from the dead.
I know. The simple answer is that you have to accept this weird concept by faith.
Some early Christians did not believe this odd conceptualization. The dilemma lingers for those of who are fans of Jesus teachings but cannot accept the Trinity concept.
Any new insights I may be missing?
