Actually, according to Miss Manners, since farts shouldn't be done in public, they shouldn't be acknowledged, either. So it was gross, but a person doesn't say excuse me when they fart.

He may have been embarrased. People don't have very good manners but sounds like you did, you took the high road and didn't call him out on it in front of him or snicker at him from across the bookshelves.
When I see someone with really bad manners (one of my biggest pet peeves is someone who eats with their mouths open) I usually do the same thing that they're doing for a second and then say, "Oh gosh, I've forgotten my manners, excuse me" and ceases the behavior. You'd be astounded at how well this works. Although, I'm not too sure that I'd feel comfortable farting in public just to make an example.
Sorry you had a stinky expirience :)

It is also very evident on these postings, one poster in particular if he doe,s not agree with a poster will harass them by picking on their Grammar, Typing or Spelling which for a supposedly educated man is very ignorant.

They still exist, but unfortunately many people choose not to teach them or use them. Also, it seems that for some people, it is "cool" to be rude. I'm not really sure that anything can be done about it.

Yesterday my roomate came home, entered the door, dropped her back pack on the floor, burped loudly, and went to her room. She didn't even say hello!

i need to be sounding like an instigator, yet i believe manners, like chivalry, grew to become into destroyed via feminism. enable me to describe. Feminists began perceiving sort scientific care via adult adult males as conceivable to their Independence, and insult to their skill. no longer have been adult adult males venerated for treating a women persons kindly, (as all adult adult males ought to). In stead, they have been shuned or rebuked. This began the repression of manners and chivalry. With time, adult adult males grew to become pissed off with the reactions of their kindness and chivalry. In reaction, they began neglecting manners altogether. no longer did adult adult males greet with a handshake. no longer did adult adult males open doors for women persons. women persons took this alteration even extra suitable. They began performing like adult adult males, without manners. They began wearing guy's clothing. They began sitting like adult adult males. They began attempting to outdo adult adult males in vulgarity and obscenities. This technology of adult males and females persons elderly, as the different. They grew to become the elders to the youthful technology. They, needless to say, motivated the youthful technology of their spiteful and ill-mannered techniques. Youths, then, have been by no skill taught to honour their elders. Youths have been by no skill raised with good manners and chivalry. via this degree, manners and chivalry weren't something extra suitable than folklore.
