I'm not asking for scrooge moments, just the little things that drive you batty.
eg. I've just put my tree up and everything's got so much glitter on it I now look like one of the gay, glitter fairys that bounce around nightclubs on the weekend.
There's always bits you can't wash off and you end up spending Christmas looking like a Russian ice-dancer.
And in my town that's a risky thing to do.

As an atheist, I find that I'm not nearly as irritated by Jews as some other faiths. I'm not saying that I agree with their beliefs...it's just that they don't seem to be very evangelical. They never come to my door with tracts and words of warning about hell. I never see them on TV hammering away at the "unsaved." They seem to kind of stick to their own and not concern themselves with converting others to their beliefs. There is seldom a scandal within their church. As far as "believers" go...I think they are not very intrusive into the lives of others. Does anyone else find these things generally true?

I am having a moral dilemma: Is it ok to go out on Christmas day? Why or why not? I want you to explain your view. Is it bad to make people work on Christmas day (examples are going to the movies, going out to eat, etc.) or do they like being paid overtime? I have thought about this a lot and thanks in advance for thoughtful answers!

I am trying my best to be a good person but obviously, I have mistakes just like every other person. So what do you think is the best way to become a better person, in general?

How about Religious Clue?

--"I accuse Christianity of killing Catholics in Ireland with disease infested blankets"

--"No...I have the disease infested blankets card. My turn...I accuse Mormons of killing Christians with guns at Mountain Meadows."

--"I can't prove you wrong."

--"Me niether. Let's look... ...You win!"

In Genesis 22:5 Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey, and I and the lad will go yonder; and we will worship and return to you." Based on this verse what is worship.

you do realize that without god man doesn't even agree on what goodness and evil is. They think of things like "subjective truth" and the whole matter is rendered obsolete. Or they agree to make abortion legal. Or they think homosexuality is wrong for hundreds of years and then decide "oh, uh...well, its common, so i guess its ok."

Do you understand that? Evil--devoid of god's law--is decided by what is non-conventional. We don't even consult conscience, do we? There no scientific proof behind conscience, so it doesn't matter in the godless world.

i recently saw a question on this forum that went something like "Aren't you glad there is religious difference in the world, for variety's sake?" Humanity doesn't care about truth enough to survive on their own. You'll always have the big group of selfish people to make societal truth into whatever is conventionally pleasurable.

Ah...just felt like preaching. Now that that's out of my system, i'll go do my chem homework.

civil rights leaders do it all the time,,,,, but if you point out racism from a minority group esp latinos or blacks they will call you a racist pig for generalizing,,,about THIER ignorance,

I asked a question about the racist mentality prevelanbt in the latino community towards whites(which there definatley is),,and all I got back was people calling me ignorant and racist with nothing interesting or factual

is it ignorant to call out the white community on thier ignorance,,,NO IT'S ACTUALLY PRAISED,,,so what is the deal here

Right....
Basically what me and a few friends are looking for is a cool night out in london on new year's eve.
It would be great if anyone knew of a club that played Tamla motown, old soul etc...til the early hours. The thing being that we'll be coming up from Folkestone and would have to get the train home about 10am the next morning, so the longer the party went on til, the better.
It's also my mate's 26th on new year's day, so doing something awesome would give him a nice start to his birthday.
Any suggestions? Any websites i can check out?
If you can...let me know the capacity of the venue/general vibe etc...
thanks in advance
