I'm not cause I know I'm going to heaven to cuddle with teddy bears and be able to drink OJ as much as I want withouth getting a little sick in the tummy. And I know I will be able to ride tigers and jump through clouds. What is there to be afraid of?
And I would also get to do virigns and stuff. LOL!

"Give a person enough rope and they'll hang themselves". A saying my Mom says my grandmother used re deceitful people. Is that what it's about? Does it mean they eventually will get caught and regret it? Seems like a funny saying. Any ideas re it's origin? I asked this quest. late last night when all the 'jokesters' were on. I asked this in the movie section and wanted to get an opinion from the religion section. Seemed to me that the older penguins were always depicted as religious and biased and inflexible. The younger penguins had to do their own thing true to their nature and couldn't change. I couldn't find one positive depiction of religion but many negative ones. Strong animal rights theme. Subliminal anti religious theme? Your thoughts?

If they aren't vegans then they're total hypocrites. I'm so tired of seeing scenester types wearing trendy suede shoes, talking about how cruel fur is. If they could afford it I bet they would wear it too, and somehow justify that. I'm not into fur, I don't own any, I don't think it even looks good most of the time, but animal rights activists are total morons sometimes. I have yet to meet one who is sane and logical. I don't see any real difference between eating meat, wearing leather, or wearing fur. People who say that it's "less of a waste" to kill the cow, eat it, and wear it are totally missing the point. Does it really matter if the animal was killed for its meat or its hide? It was tortured and killed anyway. Our society is the most wasteful one on the planet. An animal's corpse will at least rot naturally, and not harm the earth. And people don't even eat all of the cow. They kill it to selectively eat the good meat.

I don't see merchants or goverments changing the name of other holidays because of their association with any group besides Christians. So why do the "X" out Christ? Or avoid reference to the day completely? I don't see them saying Happy Holidays on Veterens or Memorial Day, though most people are offended by war. (No offense meant to veterens and many thanks for your sacrifices for your fellow countrymen) This never bothered me before, but now I'm thinking why do Christmas shopping at any store that refuses to acknowledge the day. How do you feel?

Because frankly it seems ridiculous that is the case. This country has a situation where if a man acts naturally he is considered a "pervert" because of absurd feminism, and don't get me wrong I'm incredibly left-wing but this country has such oddd views about natural behavior being wrong. One incident was where I heard that staring at a girl counts as harrasment. Harrasment? That's called flirting. So clarify why is America the only country that's like this why can't it remain the values that countries like England, France have? A balance betweeen the Muslim's view of gender roles and this country feminized culture would be a great thing.

My dad is in his early 50's. He loves the outdoors...floating, fishing, camping. He loves to be outside. He is more of a homebody. He and my step-mom don't go out much they just enjoy being home together. He's not big into technology or trends. He's got pretty much everything and I run into this problem every Christmas of what to get him. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Jesus told us to celebrate his death ( last supper) not his birth. Paul the apostle NEVER mentioned about celebrating Jesus birth. The three wise men gave presents to Jesus only, nobody else. Jesus wasn't born on dec 25, actually that day was praticed several pagan rituals ( includding orgies) around the world. Pine trees adorned with gold and silver, are mentioned in Jeremiah chapter 10. See it for yourself, and be prepared is not good!
Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus and, my opinion true Christians should not celebrate it.

At One time in my life, I started to catch the Bus(I didnt have a car). Now It was Winter season, and we were expecting rain. So I prayed to God, and told him"please,please Lord , dont let it rain(and really believed) until I get my car". Fortunately, I was able to buy a brand new car within a month.
