when you are entered into an arranged marrige are you happy? how do you deal with it? and would you leave if you had a way out. I know it's about tradition and culture and im assuming some people are happy, but the concept is really foreign to me and im curious. I have a friend who teaches college English and he has shown me papers written by some of his African American students. They are full of things like "She do this.." and " I be that.." I'm not trying to be condscending. I just want to know why this is done.

Quoting the bible to an atheist is a waste of time. You may as well quote from Harry Potter.
Atheists do not recognise that god exists and certainly do not believe that the bible is inspired by god.

Atheists find it strange that some people would accept the bible as the word of god. How do you know that this is true we ask " cos it says in the bible " you reply.

Do you see a pronlem with that logic. That means anything you read in any book must be true, because it is written in the book.

In my feeling Jesus will return in the 7th year (7000 yrs)
and since the bible says 1000 years is like 1 day to God
and God rested on the seventh day of creation, I believe that Jesus will return in the 7000th year of Jubilie---->
No one knows but God the Day or Hour but he didn't say we could guess the year-

Is it possible that God has presented Himself differently to different nations as different icons....but is really the same entity...For Christians, Jesus...For Buddists...Buda...and the others...which I can't think of...for them...Maybe He is all one entity...Maybe Buda, Jesus..and the others are all one entity....God?

Ive known this guy since we were 7. then we went different ways and now r friends again. (im bi btw). but we started chillin alot now and hes always does little stuff to make me feel like this. like when we were sittin down by the creek late one night, he put his head on my shoulders and put his arm around me. and he always trys to lay right beside me. but only when its just me and him. if someone else is with us and i like use his legs as a foot rest hes like aw. my legs are cramping. but if its just me and him well sit like that all night. he always wants to chill with me. and is always askin if he can come over. and whenever we go to my room "he falls asleep" and turns over and slings his arm around me and scoots over and get real close to me.(I know he wasnt asleep cuz i saw him lookin around.) Please help yall! I really like him. but I dont know wat to do?!

I work in a grocery store and, to me, it just seems like the polite thing to say. I'm not a Christian, I have no idea if the person I'm checking out is a Christian, I don't want to wish them a happy holiday that they don't celebrate. If I'm around friends and I know the person celebrates Christmas I'll say "Merry Christmas," or "Happy Hanukka" if that's what the celebrate, but to a stranger? I'd rather be safe and wish them a "happy any-holiday." Yet I still get people who get offended and say "No, it's Merry CHRISTmas." I always feel like responding "Actually, Christmas was a holiday stolen from the Pagans, so really is Merry MITHRASmas, thanks." But I'd probably get fired.

What do you think? Is "Happy Holidays" the right way to go? Why do people get offended? What should I do the next time it happens?

If you don't leave a tip, are you a cheapie? I usually only tip servers who bring my food out to me at a table in a sit down restaurant. I think it's wrong to impose that kind of pressure for tipping just to get a few donuts from behind a counter. Any thoughts?

Good day!
I recently moved to England. While I don't celebrate Christmas, but I would like to send people Christmas cards, as a sign of friendship or whatever you like to call! Would that sound OK? or would I hear something like " eh! why " .

If your answer says it's OK, to whom should it ok? My colleagues or just my close friends?

One more thing, Am not gonna post them since people living around, when should I hand them ? it is too early now, isnt it??

When is a good time to put them up and take down?
Lastly do you like to drive around and look at other ppl's light's?
I do to all of the above but I haven't gotten my outside decoration's up and I am wondering when I should TAKE THEM DOWN?
