Do you put them up?
When is a good time to put them up and take down?
Lastly do you like to drive around and look at other ppl's light's?
I do to all of the above but I haven't gotten my outside decoration's up and I am wondering when I should TAKE THEM DOWN?

Yes I do put Christmas light up.. I take mine down after the first of the year when I take my tree down.. Cause I do it all at once.. And it is bad luck to take your tree down before the New Year..I love to drive around looking at other peoples light because give me some kind of idea I might want to do the following year with my light and also the kids love it.. We have been driving around looking at light since I was a little girl..

We put them up after Thanksgiving, but we have been seeing a steady increase of decoration in the neighborhood since the first weekend of December. I take them down after New Years on a warmish weekend. I still like to have them on for most of January.
On the way home, I take the long way to look at the lights the kids could do this every day! Happy Christmas to you.

I always put up lights during the holiday season. I normally put them up the day after thanksgiving and take them down the day after new years. As far as looking at others' lights....guilty as charged. I like to see what people do during the season and how creative some can be. I tend to go back to some I've seen in the past and see what they added or changed. Also where I live they have a lights tour for those who also enjoy looking at the great lights of they city. As far as when you want to take them down...it's your call. I suggest the day after new year's. Happy Holidays to you!

The day after Thanksgiving you put them up! You take them down no later then a week after New years! And I love driving around looking at decoration's especially by the famous mansion areas in Chicago!

I don't put them up. Too lazy.
Put them up any time after Thanksgiving and take them down within 2 weeks of New Years.
I love to drive around and look at other people's lights and decorations.

Yes we put them up. The day after Thanksgiving. Christmas only come once a year so I like to get as much out of it as I can. Tree & all teh decor the day after Thanksgiving. I take it all down on New Years day. Yes, my family drives down Christmas Tree Lane several times. Merry Christmas to you!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU TOO! most people start putting up Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving or a few days after. Most take them down after New Years Day. I love to ride around looking at other peoples decorations with my family, it gives us "family time" to spend together plus ideas for next years decorations! Have fun, its never too late to put them up! :o)

Well technically after Thanksgiving you are clear to have them lit up. If you are a type of person that enjoys putting up a lot of lights, you are allowed to start putting them up before the Thanksgiving, but not to actually light them until after Thanksgiving. The period of time Thanksgiving and New Years is when you want to celebrate the holiday season. So I woudl say it woudl be fine to leave your lights up well into January. Because it looks beautiful with the snow. But after January, I would say it's a good time to start taking them down.

Yea my family puts them up. I think after Thanksgiving Day is a good time to put them up. To take them down it depends on where you live. Some people leave them up all year but just dont turn them on until Christmas. I take mine down the 2nd week of January.

I usually get i n spirit right after Thanksgiving... that classic shopping day is my decorating day... All that work they need to be up for like a month. In our culture we celebrare 3 kings, and Orthodox christmas ( jan 7) so after that I take mine down.
There is a specific neighboorhood here dubbed " candy cane lane" all the houses in a 5 block radius decorate thier houses.. and it is tradition to some to ride out and view them.
You still have tecihinally until christmas eve to put them up... but all that work.. for a few days... is a waste!
