The amount of ignorance on this subject is mind boggeling.

Everytime someone bashes the "Crusades", I ask them "Do you know who they were FIGHTING EINSTEIN!"

If I had a penny for each time a person didnt know that the Crusaders were fighting off Islamic invaders, I would be a zillionaire. One time, I literally got ill pondering the ramifications of our own ignorance...I mean, people defending Jihadist movements today by lashing out at "Crusaders" who...WERE FIGHTING JIHADISTS!!!!

The Jihadists believed that the world was divded into two camps: THE HOUSE OF ISLAM, AND THE HOUSE OF WAR. You either were in the house of Islam, or were in lands awaiting Islamic onslaught. By the way, google this historic phrase "House of Islam...", see how much is written about this Islamic concept, that still applies today.

Jeremiah 10 10:2
This is what the Lord says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the sky, though the nations are terrified by them.
10:3
For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
10:4
They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.
10:5
Like a scarecrow in a melon patch, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do no harm nor can they do any good."

Hmm... might Christians be buying into Pagan beliefs?

Darksome night and shining moon,

Hearken to the witches’ rune.

East then South, West then North,

Hear! Come! I call thee forth!

By all the powers of land and sea,

Be obedient unto me.

Wand and Pentacle and Sword,

Hearken ye unto my word.

Cords and Censer, Scourge and Knife,

Waken all ye into life.

Powers of the witch’s Blade,

Come ye as the charge is made.

Queen of Heaven, Queen of Hell,

Send your aid unto the spell.

Horned Hunter of the night,

Work my will by magic rite.

By all the powers of land and sea,

As I do say, “So mote it be.”

By all the might of moon and sun,

As I do will, it shall be done.

Why must they constantly bash atheism rather than learn more about it? They make a straw man argument and knock it down. Why must they do this?

why do girls always feel like they have to expose themselves? I mean, the super low cut shirts, the super high shorts, skirts, halter tops, spaghetti straps, strapless dresses? Is it what you girls really call fashion? or is it just for attention?

Ok first off I want to say I have what is known as a "hypnofetish" I get really turned on when I watch someone being put into a hypnotic trance. You know the whole "Your eyelids are getting heavy thing" For some reason that is a huge turn on. Not the mind control part, just the sleep incuding. Ok..well I was talking with one of my friend who I work with as a tutor and we got to talking about hypnosis. She really wants to be hypnotized and wants me to do it at a party (I've studied it a lot) we are having next week. The question is should I do it? She has no idea about my fetish and i worry it would be like taking advantage if me hypnotizing her turns me on. I also have a bit of a thing for her, shes smoking hot. All I would do would be some fun routines, (forgetting her name etc) amd then I would wake her up, but it feels dirty if I am turned on by it.It would be like if I had a thing for feet and gave her a fott rub. So..what should I do? If you need more info just email me. thanks

If we invent our own concept of good then, we end up worshiping ourselves. Where is the real reference or benchmark to universal GOOD?

I have two different books about Japanese, and one says Japanese is monotonic (which means, the stress on a certain syllable doesn't matter) and a different book which has every word stressed differently when it gives examples; it says that Japanese ISN'T monotonic. I'm confused, because the one that said it's monotonic is a dictionary, and even the dictionary people know that ame (rain) and ame (candy) are stressed differently when you want eithe rain or candy. I, obviously, speak English, so can someone, (preferably a native Japanese speaker who also knows English, but if you don't, that's okay) tell me whether Japanese is a monotonic language or not, and if there are rules governing how to place the accents on certain syllables? Thanks.

We are part of a swingers group, we have made some really good friends in this group and have had our fantasies fulfilled. Now this group regularly meets once a month in different bars/pubs in town and the evening starts out as just a group of friends hanging out. But as the alcohol starts to kick in some in the group get really crazy and embarass some of us within the group by flaunting why they are there. They start going at it or trying to with whoever is near them and some even end up getting areas "tended" to in the bar...a public place.
Now I am in no way a prude but we choose to be discrete about our lifestyle choice and don't want to flaunt it around. I understand some people are open with their choices but how can we remain discreet without losing our new friends? I get especially uncomfortable when advances are made on me without my permission.
Or should we continue to just walk away and stay on the other side of the room and risk upsetting some?
