No. I look at my beautiful, wonderful children and know they are mine all mine and I’m filled with wonder and delight, but it doesn’t make me feel like there is a god. There are a lot of wonderful things in the world that are hanging around. There are also many horrible things as well.
There is a beautiful, wonderful child somewhere on this planet dying slowly of cancer too. Why do I deserve such happiness when someone else is loosing there child (they don’t deserve that).

Not in a Christian/Judeo type sense. I just wonder about everything though, the universe, the oceans, theology, history, cultures. It's a fantastic world we live in, so full of energy.
Just because I don't fully understand something, doesn't mean I turn to a God for a simple explanation though.

I don't have kids. And no I wouldn't. I think my nephew is beautiful and wonderful. But he isn't a gift from god. Your god doesn't exist.
Generally, I look at children and think "I really hope he/she doesn't become like his/her parents".

'Fraid not, not, sorry to burst your hopeful fantasy. My children are the most amazing thing in my life and nothing compares with the love I feel for them, but they got here the same way you and I did, by viviparous procreation. If tulips, wasps and sparrows can reproduce, I'm nothing special really.

anyone who had to sit through "the Miracle of Life" in middle school would never think that.
It's not like "god" just up and impregantes women at his whim...
A penis is required for that to happen.

No. A little bit of everything makes me think the whole universe is one big series of chemical reations.
"God" is being alive in the here and now.I think the afterlife concept is wishful thinking, actually.
I see too much visciousnmess is religion to think the god crowd is not insane.

Christians, have you ever looked at your parents and think maybe there is no God. They are religious and were for war, segregation, and exploitation.

Nope. I look at children, some of them were 'mine' while I was teaching, and realize that their parents had sex. Nothing miraculous about that. Just good ol' procreation.

I know my parents look at me and think,"If there is a benevolent God, how the hell did I get stuck with that?"
