We can only have God define good for us. Satan said to Adam and Eve that we could decide what was good and bad for ourselves, and be like gods.
Genesis 3:5
For God knows that in the very day of YOUR eating from it YOUR eyes are bound to be opened and YOU are bound to be like God, KNOWING good and bad.”
That's why everything in the world has gone pear shaped, and why we die. We need to take in knowledge from the Bible so that we know what God tells us is good, and so we can gain life.
John 17:3
This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

We all invent our own concept of good, and we don't end up worshipping ourselves. First, you have to realize that "good" and "bad" are all subjective. Your view of good will differ from someone elses. There is no universal good.
Morality is the set of rules we have for what we think is good and bad. Each person has their own set of morals. When you wish to deal with another person, you also have to deal with his morality. Before you do so, you have to establish some common morality agreed on between you two. There might have to be some compromises. If you have no morality in common with the other person, it is difficult to establish any kind of communication. When casual meetings, that morality can be loose. With a clerk, for example, you really don't care about his politics. All that you care about is the rules for buying something. With someone you marry, you have to work out your common morals to a much greater extent.
It is difficult to establish what each other's morality is every time you meet. Because of this, societies have established laws. Laws reflect some common morality of the people. They rarely reflect all of them, but they establish a default that makes dealing with other people much easier. Many laws in society are unwritten laws and not explicitly laid out by lawyers. This means there are less things you have to consider about the other person before interacting with them. As society evolves, the laws of society evolves with it.
Therefore, morality is dynamic. It is not represented in any fixed list, like the 10 commandments. However, the 10 commandments, themselves, were a product of societies trying to establish a common morality. Note that in the US, only a few of the 10 commandments actually have law to enforce them, and even then there are caveats.
We get our morality from many sources. Instincts still have much influence on us, but so do family, friends, culture, and country. Others look to books, philosophers, gurus, priests, and other advisors. However, your own morality really comes down to you and is unique to you. How you present yourself, your own character, is your responsibility.

The Bible.
To the atheist, they think good is anything they want it to be.
So if I say murder is good, and I should kill 100 atheists for my mental health, the atheist can't disagree because it's "my" good.
