Our hearts are pumps, our lungs are air exchangers, our veins and arteries are plumbing, our kidneys and liver are chemical factories, our GI system is a raw material intake / waste management system. and our bones and muscles are levers, gears and hydraulics.

If all those things are bio-machines then why couldn't our brains just be really sophisticated computers running incredible software?

I was preparing for Thanksgiving dinner tommorow and I was making some delicious macaroni and cheese that my parents and my husband just love. Well I put milk in it instead of water and I didn't have any regular milk, only some pumped breastmilk in bottles that were in the refrigerator. I couldn't drive to the store because I don't have my own car or a driver's license and the rest of my family had gone to the store except for my precious baby, so I decided to use my breastmilk. (I fed the baby naturally afterwards - he had plenty..teehee ;) ) Anyways, I tasted it after it was finished and I could only taste a slight difference. Do you think I should say something? I don't want to be a bad hostess, but at the same time I know I do not have any diseases. I was also a virgin when I was married.

I hate cooking! I already don't get to spend alot time with my family work and all, and the added stress of cooking, cleaning just brings a negative behavior in me, Do any you guys just see that it just ok to go to a resturant and have Thanksgiving dinner and just being served and spend time with hubby and kids?

Yes, I know that man fears the unknown and death and the insignificance of his own existence, so he chooses to place his faith in a deity that provides meaning, etc. However, how can people argue so vehemently against logic, rationality, and plain fact? I'm not attacking Christianity, especially as the lessons Jesus taught were basically "let's all get along", which is good common sense. I just want to know why many religious (NOT spiritual - there's a difference!) people feel so strongly about a religion they only believe in because they were socialized to do so, especially when the teachings of that religion contradict plain fact. Please (and I think most people, religous or otherwise, will agree with me here) do not quote from the Bible in your answer.

I have read some shocking comments about the French,.Mainly from Americans.

So is it just Americans that have a dislike towards the French of is it other people from other countries?? Aussie..japan..South Africa..UK..Germany?

The French commited an act of Terrrorism in our waters..they blew up the Rainbow Warrior.
New Zealand doesnt seem to have an overwhealmng hate for the French,we have moved on.
Surely it time for Americans to do this as well?

us wittnesses are not a cult,or a sect or some church trying to convert you,we come to your doors willingly to tell you what we know and what we have learened,then people slam doors in our faces,i am 13 and i love talking about god.if someone came to your front door and told you you could live forever,in a paridise,without tears nor pain nor outcry,would you listen,today people are killing one another and bad mouthing people they don't even know.my question is why do people send dogs after us,slam doords in our faces,badmouth us,distroy our kingdom halls,and ignore us when we try to come to there door,when we are told in the bible to love one another?if you can answer my question or have any personal experiances with this or with jehovahs witnesses please post.for more info on jehovhs wittnesses go to www.watchtower.org
