If being a Jehovah's witness is your faith and you believe in it, why does others opinion affect you. Stop trying to explain yourself and make everyone share the same belief as you. Personally, its not your belief or religion I have a problem with, it's that you all are annoying when you walk around knocking on my door all week long. If someone wants to be a Jehovah's witness they know where to find you. It's okay to share the word using word, but hey respect peoples home front and stay away from their dwelling place. As far as the things people do, its disrespectful and so is repeated unwanted solicitation. After while, its like harassment.

To Christians 4 Jews: After she left the religion, you mentioned that her aunt, mothers and fathers, and all those human beings stopped talking to her. nicely, the certainty is that's what happens in case you're disfellowshipped from the religion. in case you do something somewhat undesirable like working example, smoke, drink jointly as underage, stayed at your boyfriend's homestead even you're no longer married, different uncleanly stuff, then the elders on the congregation asks you in case you're rather repentant. in case you're repentant, then the you're off, no longer fullyyt nonetheless, yet off the hook. in case you're no longer repentant, then you somewhat are disfellowshipped from the religion which ability as a punishment, no one in the religion as they're can not talk or touch you. this is a punishment for what you probably did, so so which you could go through, then in case you prefer to come back back, you wait few months and then tell the elders which you're repentant and prefer to come back back. The elders will ask you questions and that they permit you back in. Getting back to what you ask. the placement the place you observed would not have something to do with our church. there is not any teachings in the bible the place it says, to that end force your relative who's in the different church as you're. it rather isn't any longer incorrect. on the different hand, Jehovah's Witnesses are well mannered, type and beneficiant to all of us, inspite of what church homes human beings belong to. So maybe the girl you stated approximately purely did no longer prefer to force her mom and purely mentioned it rather is incorrect. or regardless of if she became advised via the others, then the two maybe she misheard it or the others misspoken. i surely became born and raised as Jehovah's Witnesses, and my dad isn't a witness, so yeah.

Being one of Jehovah Witnesses means that we will suffer persecution as Jesus did when he was on earth (read John 15:18-20). Most people do those things to us because we are teaching what the Bible says and not words of men and because we are not getting involve in politics (i.e. voting) and because we do not celebrate the major holidays (i.e. Christmas, Halloween, Easter, 4th of July or birthdays). Because people don't understand why we don't do those things, they will go on speaking abusively of us (read 1 Peter 4:3,4)

My message to you is to not let men stop you from telling the truth because we were commanded by Jesus at Matthew 24:14 and Matthew 28:19,20 to keep on making disciples.

In a lot of cases, people believe that their religion is the ONLY way and they are not open to other theories, which causes some rude behavior. Because of such behavior, it makes it difficult to present your theory to anyway because of the experiences that someone has had with others. If they do not want to hear what you have to say about your religion, they should politely tell you they are not interested. Just do not make the mistake of trying to force feed anyone because it will leave a negative impact. I personally, I am not involved in religion nor do I care to be, but I would not be rude to someone if they tried to witness. However, I would get upset if they would not take no for an answer.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

I understand people being annoyed by uninvited door knocking, but you're right it goes way beyond that. Where in the bible does it say to be so rude and unkind to people they disagree with. Did Christ treat anyone this way? The worst church for bad-mouthing other churches is Evangelical Free. Half their doctrine is how to hate other churches. They throw around the word "cult", but they must not have read the dictionary or they'd know Christianity as a whole is a cult. They get themselves all worked up in their own self righteousness, kind of like mob-hysteria. Really wrong.

You just follow the dictates of your own conscience, carry yourself with dignity and humility, and never make a decision based in anger or fear. You only answer to God.

Sugar, you may need to grow a thicker skin and don't take rejection personally! By and large, folks aren't rejecting US, they are rejecting the message we are trying to get out. Remember that Jesus was despised for HIS message, too! Because we are not greater than the master, we can expect to garner the same results from the greater number when we go door to door or even on here. Just try not to engage in mouth battles with the naysayers, as it just gives them fuel. Remember the admonition at 2 Timothy 2:23 and 24: " Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights. But a slave of the Lord does not need to fight, but needs to be gentle toward all, qualified to teach, keeping himself restrained under evil"

Well, there were two pairs of fairly nice JW women who used to come by and I'd invite the in to talk...I wanted to know more about the Jehovah's Witnesses, because I am a student of religions.

After a number of visits, one of the women asked me if I was basically dong an interview with them, and when I said, Yes, they stopped coming. (I had told them from the get-go that that was what I was doing).

The other pair..well, one of the women couldn't get through 5 minutes without telling me that I needed to go to a Witness Hall, and she didn't want to talk about differences between JW and other religions at all, she only wanted to try to convicne me that JW was the "only true" understading of the Bible, so eventually I had to ask them not to come any more.

I don't think you are a Jehovah's Witness.
You would know the answer if you were.

Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Most likely, your not going to get very nice answers from most people. Just don;t worry about popular opinion. People think we dont beleive in Christ as Lord cause we don't believe in the trinity, but all that matters is following his commands for us. The best reply for u is Jesus' own words at Matthew 10; 13 and 14
"and if the house is deserving , let the peace you wish it come upon it, but if it is not deserving , let the peace from you return upon you. Whenever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city , shake the dust off your feet."
