I had a disscussion with a christian uncle of mine conserning prayer and God. I belive that there is only one God, you can call God by any name, but it is still God(a rose is a rose is a rose). So he says that since I don't use jesus's name when I pray that I'm praying to Lucifer. Now I know I'll get tons of lecture type material about the "truth" but do you really think that if I have the intention to pray to God but don't use a particular name, the prayer direction changes and Lucifer's "phone rings"?
I'm not confused about this matter I'm curios as to what reponces I'll recive.
please don't preach to me, I'll never be your convert trophy

I was reading about animal testing and the horrible fate these animals suffer and I decided it would make me feel a lot better to know that maybe evil people get reincarnated as test animals. Wouldn't it make you feel better to know Hitler is now in a lab being tortured by greedy humans? Does anybody believe in this concept of hell as reincarnation on earth?

It seems like bands such as Switchfoot, Relient K, or Mat Kearny make their message of faith a little more encoded than they were before once they turn popular and mainstream. Why does it feel like they should be using their popularity for the ways of God in more obvious lyrics, the way they used to?

Ive been watching ewtn lately... instead of tbn..I really enjoy it.. I love mother Angelica live..and alot of other shows..its weird i received a rosary in the mail a few days ago.. it seems cahtolics are basicly the same in their belieifs as all other chritain religons..
except for certain rituals like praying the rosary.. confeesing your sins to a preist..etc.. my question is why the Hail marys? the Bible says Iam the way the truth and the life .. no one gets to the father
but by me.. or word to that effect..

1. a giant posterboard neon card with pictures of us from different times with writing and stuff
2. a burned CD of songs we love or have jokes about
3. a basket of some of her favorite candy and a teddy bear
4. a little wooden carving of her name in her favorite color with glitter and polka dots
5. and (maybe) one big yankee candle (she loves it like crazy)
