You don't believe in God. Fair enough.

But what is this God you don't believe in? No religion has, as far as I can tell, ever managed to tie down just what God is supposed to be. It could be some random life force, it could be some existential father figure, it could be the personification of our fathers as a cosmic entity, it could be some peripheral standard of justice, it could be just the origin of the world (whatever that is)...

Doesn't Atheism take the definitions of deity by their cultural religion for granted; in effect believing their proclamations about the God they worship? Or does it have some internal definition of what it is that it doesn't believe exists?

ex # 1: i was sitting in class, and i noticed this guy try to tickel a girl as she walked by and she slapped him and told him not to touch her.
ex #2: i was out with some friends, and this guy that was there kept trying to touch my friend's *** and mine, and he constantly pushed me and tried to ge tme to fall, and he tried to tickel me but it hurt. whenever my friend and i told him to stop, he would just laugh it off, even after we yelled at him.

it wasn't our clothes, trust me, we were wearing coats and jeans, and we wern't flirtiung back. some guys just randomly grab girls they dont even know and it is just so rude! it's ok if the guy is your friend, and your just joking arround, but other than that, it is seriously uncomforitable.... why do guys do this?

Mav watched a little of Dr 90210 this morning, and they had on this woman who admitted to be addicted to plastic surgery.
She is scheduled to have yet another procedure.

Is she the sinner or is the Doctor a sinner for not cutting her off the 'drug'?

I'm 20 and my boyfriend, Craig, is 25. His bestfriend John and his girlfriend are coming up the night before Thanksgiving. I'm very shy and was dreading going out because I'm not legal to drink, and his friend and girl are the party type. Point is, while my boyfriend suggested we go to a restaurant, Craig insisted to go to a bar, and I was uninvited. Literally. My boyfriend informed me, and was very polite about it and did it the right way (explained that Craig insisted on going to a bar).

I'm not mad at all or even offended (I don't get mad easy). I'm not upset at all with my boyfriend, but I think it was a little rude of Craig to insist on going to a bar when he knows my age. Either way, I would NEVER cross the line and say something to him about how I feel, but does anyone agree with me that it was a little rude / inconsiderate of Craig? Also, do you think my boyfriend should've put his foot down more?

Either way, I'm definitely relieved to not be going due to how shy I am!

Adventists don't go to church on sundays, they don't believe in life after death (but in a resurrection), they don't believe in "souls" and don't believe in hell (but in annihilation).

Christians..Catholics..and many others..

some say Jesus is son of god, some say he is not he's the second god..some were saying there are 3 in 1 god..and bla..bla..bla..
why is this happening? isnt it shows that you people are not really sure which one to believe on..and still use the same corrupted Bible..so many style of teaching..so many style of Bible to follow..
it looks like you all need to change and corrupt the Bible again to suit your life style..

so some were saying Jesus was god's son..God is Holy..Mary the Human is a sinner ( according to someone claims he's a christian )..God cant look on sinner..so LOGICLY..how come God can send Jesus (your so called God's son) spirit into Mary..?? Holy mix a sinner?? weird?!

In Islam, we believe that Allah sent Jesus spirit into Mary ( a holy virgin without a SIN ) and born into the world with miracles.. the miracles was actually to show humans that Allah is present and exist and Jesus was one of His many miracles..

Is it because he got away with killing a white woman? I ask because in the same time, there have been a few high profile celebrity killings (Robert Blake and one of the Kennedy cousinscome to mind) where the killer got away with murder. And the not too distant past is filled with whites who got away with killing blacks, many of whom are just now being retried after all white juries let them off.

But something about OJ rankles whites more than any other killing. IMHO it's because he's black and his wife was white and that seems to bring out a tribal reaction among many whites because he killed one of their own. Ironic considering that so many of these same people insist that white racism is in the past and blacks should stop harping on about it. Kinda makes you go Hmmmm.
