I was 'saved' when I was 11, at a Christian summer camp.

I was always a shy boy when I was young, and had a handful of close friends, but didn't adjust as well in larger groups. The cabin I joined was full of older boys (I was the youngest) who had been there together before. I was lonely and had no confidence, but they were friendly and welcoming. We had a lot of fun together in the first few days, but I never understood when they prayed. Eventually, the fact that I was not Christian came up when it was my turn to lead the nighttime prayer. They encouraged me to try it, so I made up something similar to what they had said. After, they explained the salvation of Jesus from the perils of Hell. I was extremely frightened that I was going to die and burn forever in Hell, and I wanted to keep my new friends. So, when they asked me to touch the Bible and swear that I believed in Jesus and would live my life for him, I did, a scared 11 year old boy.

Nowadays, I can use logic, and form a proper argument. Naturally, I don't believe in the concept of a god. The whole idea is unfalsifiable.

I accepted Christ on October 31 when I was 6 years old. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was on a hay ride with my chruch youth group. Some of the kids started throwing hay at a girl on the ride, and I would tell it really hurt her, God spoke to me through this. I began to remember all of the stories I had heard in Sunday school about how people were mean to Jesus and how they hit hit and it really must have been hard on him because He was sent here to save us. As soon as that hay ride was over, I found my preacher, and told him that I needed to ask Jesus into my heart. He lead me through the plan of salvation and I felt all of that sadness and sorrow leave my heart. Jesus filled my heart with gladness and joy. Also with peace in knowing that if the world ended today, that I would join Him in heaven. It is a wonderful feeling, and it never goes away! Praise the LORD for HE is worthy. Trust in the Lord with all of your heart; lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM first. Proverbs 3:5-7
