If you are a liberal and I was a conservative, it would be okay for me to question your beliefs. If you like Raiders and I like the 49ers, it would be okay for me to question your beliefs. If you like cars and I like motorcycles, it would be okay for me to question your belief. So why is there such a double standard when it comes to religion? Why can't I question your god and his existence? Just from major religions there are so many (Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Satanism, etc.), so isn't it just expected for me to question your beliefs? Why the double standard?

(and If you have read my questions in the past, you'll know I don't insult your religion. I question the motives behind it, the text, and the supposed entity of god and how it interacts)

Why can we not all agree to disagree and find out about each other's character before we bash a belief system or lack thereof? For example I have watched the answers of many people on this forum and even thought they have a different set if opinions, many of them have great character and seem to be really good people. Do you not agree?

You had to start your life all over again with very little cash, age and gender (female) was against you, and on top of it all you had to move to a warmer state due to health?

I'm penning a novel and two of my female characters are Mandarin Chinese. I have chosen the name Shen Huan for my first character. The second is called Chloe Chun (she has taken on a western name as she lives in the UK, as many Chinese do) but I require a Chinese first name for her.

I need to know, and I'd love some honest answers, if Shen Huan is a good Chinese name, and any suggestions for Chloe's Chinese first name. Thank you!

A str8 aquintance came up to me, knowing you were gay, and asked if I would get married if it were legal? My response was..."No, I prefer the same rights though. You str8 people have RUINED that institution and you can keep it" Is anyone in agreement or do you insist on the "marriage" label?

If the Bible says "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Matthew 7:1), why are all of the supposed Christians on here so quick to judge? I've seen some who are so caught up in religion that they have lost their sense of humor. Have you all not realized that God would want you to enjoy life too? You honestly can't be happy if you drop a judgemental answer to everyone who appears to not be Christian on here or everyone who asks a funny question.

The marriage line in my right hand starts as usual from the posterior side of my hand and after continuing for some distance it branches into a new line(while the original line stops there slightly inclining towards heart line)and the new branch continues and gets inclined towards the heart line and after a little distance it ends in a fork...with one line of the fork moving & cutting the heart line and it still extends some way beyond the heart line (while the other line of the fork just ends after a very little distance being somewhat horizontal)

i actually dont know whether more datas are required or not
but the pattern of the marriage line in my left is nearly same as that of right hand.I m a right hander.

I"ve recently started dating an Englishman and he has a few phrases I don't understand. "Does my nut in" is one. I've looked online and found British slang pages but none that contain that phrase. If I can find one that contains that phrase then it should work well for me. So, can someone explain it and recommend a good site as well so I don't have to ask him what he means every third sentence he speaks.

Are you feeling like you are in the middle of no where? Not in the wilderness but at the promised land yet? Do feel a little abandoned by God and can't quite make out what is going on?

This has puzzled me for some time. I'm aware of Irish-American, Italian-American, African-American, Polish-American (probably) but no English-American. Why not? Is it really because of the War of Independence - then why are some called Scottish-American. The war was against the British not the English. No?

It really drives me crazy when I read in the paper that someone rich has died and left all their fortune to the cat society or a dog home somewhere.
Yes I love animals I have a dog and cat at home but isn't it a waste? there are far more important things in the world to donate money too, children being the main one abused children abandoned children, I dont know of any cat that cries itself to sleep at night because its mother has abandoned it.
shouldnt we be investing money into the future and children are the future afterall, failing that leaving money to a research company would be the next best thing (cancer, aids etc) Im all for sorting out the curelty to animals issues but maybe if we sort the people in this world out first the rest will follow, do you agree?

I first came across the book in a Trenton,NJ library in 1976. It was a donated book, and fascinating. I've seen it in some book stores too and they never seem to know quite where to put it by catagory.

Not celebrities that are beautiful/handsome. Someone that you would most likely not have dated in a million years. I once had a crush on this Johovah witness guy that came to my home to give me lesson when I was young. He was not handsome in the least and he had a funny eye. Like something from a horror movie. But I liked him enough. He never knew.
