I first came across the book in a Trenton,NJ library in 1976. It was a donated book, and fascinating. I've seen it in some book stores too and they never seem to know quite where to put it by catagory.

The Urantia book was created by a small group of men in Chicago in the 1950's. When you read it you will notice the stilted language of that era. It is supposed to be a message from the "Masters" and is a sort of New Age hierarchy of heaven leading up to God. It is a fascinating cultural study, but I would certainly not buy into its mythology.
