im female and i work with one of my friends which is also female. im bi.she seems to be clingy. she will call me when im at the other end of the building just to ask me what im doin and where i am. she even walks all the way to the other end of the building to ask me to go outside with her on break. if i say no she begs me and waves come on and says u know u wanna go out with me.if she dont see where i am she calls my name out until she sees me. when i talk to other female friends and she sees me talking she gives me the look at death and acts like shes mad and then i ask her and says nothings wrong. she will walk really close to me acting like shes gonna grab my hand and then she backs off.the other day i was tellin her about my ex bf leaving me for a guy and about gay/bisexuality and the next day she asked me out on a date. she seemed all serious then after a while she said u know what i mean not a date, date but a date. is she testing me to see how id react about it?what do i do?

Their lives were shattered with a nightmare of brutality. They attended the murderers funeral prayed for him. They gave his widow some of the money they recieved from country wide donations. I am an atheist and this brought tears to my eyes. They are truly awesome people.

I've always been attracted to men and never women, ever since my sex drive kicked into gear in my early teen years. It did take me a while to get used to it and it's still embarassing for some people to find out.

But why is there such a stigma? I know that a lot of religious people say "Because the Bible says blah blah blah...." But there's no rational reasoning in that. What is the real reason for the stigma?

I was going to post in the mythology section but hey..

In the first 6 days it said that Yahweh seperated the water of heaven from earth and implimented a solid barrier to do so. Does this explain where Noah's flood water could have come from? Is there a connection between the two in the Old Testiment?

If the six mile wide asteroid that slammed into Earth 65 million years ago, never happened, then it's very logical to assume that we would not be here. Perhaps the dinosaurs would have evolved into more intelligent beings and we would have stayed as small mammals.

So if you believe in God then you have to believe that God moved a rock in space, and controlled it to hit the earth, at that time that would kill most of the life on this planet. Allowing the smaller creatures, our ancient decendents, to find a niche and evolve into intelligence and into us.

Of all life that has ever existed on this tiny world, 99.9% of it is now extinct. We make up the .1% of life that made it, that survived evolution. That doesn't speak of a designer at work, it says that we owe our existance to a lot of cosmic luck and serendipity. A much more humbling thought.

I am Christian so I am a 100% right about everything because I live by the Bible. I know the truth and that makes me feel safe and secure. Without the Bible, I would be a desperate and morbidly insecure human. The truth has been proven to me by God Himself. I have seen the Bible fall from the sky, and I know of its divine origins. I know because I know, and if anything, it is the non-believers who are insecure because they do not accept the truth. I am special so I will go to Heaven instead of the non-believers. My glory belongs to God, and God will have everlasting glory.

I want to find meaning in my life so I have been looking into religions as of late, and I want to know what the jews believe in. Can anyone give me some real good websites that have good information on judaism? Or even better answer a few of my questions?

Here are some of the main question I need answers for about Judaism:

what is the afterlife going to be like?
Is there heaven or hell?
How is God viewed?
Do I have to believe in God to be jewish?
Can I still believe in evolution and be jewish?
Do I have to take the bible as literal truth?
How do you get into heaven if you are jewish?
and Are convert Jews welcome and accepted in synagogs/Jewish community's?

The church I attend is a strong believer in keeping the 10 Commandments. To be honest with you I have trouble keeping all 10 of the Commandments. I was wondering how you are doing in keeping them? I think my biggest weakness is lying. Not big major lies, but stupid little lies. I watched a video of a highschool teenager being asked how well he keeps the Commandments, and it was then I realized how much I need a savior. And I thank God for His Son, Jesus Christ. Here's the video:

Our family goes camping every year for Thanksgiving. We all make one dish for Thanksgiving Day. This year I want to make an appetizer or dessert but it has to be something that you can make while camping or something that can be made before hand (it would need to store well either in a cooler or dry storage).

Salam,
I converted to Islam 2 years ago and I have a question about celebrating family holidays with my Christian family. I have been through one Christmas and 2 Easters since my conversion. Last year during Christmas, I didn't do anything with my family, but had dinner Christmas eve with my family, just dinner, not celebration. All my family gave me presents and I bought presents for my 6 year old brother. I completly skipped Easter and my family was fine with that, but they are pushing me to come Christmas eve again this year. Is it Haram to go, even it it is not celebrating to me, just spending a dinner with my family? My husband refuses to go to their house for Christmas, but it is very rare my whole family gets together and I only would get to see some of my family members who live far away during the Christmas holidays. What is the right thing to do?

Ma Salam,

History has shown that the world's religions change time after time. We've had Greek/Roman, Egyptian, Norse, Celtic and many others including several that are simply lumped into the pagan group.

So what does the future hold? What do you think will be the next bedtime story *** religious doctrine? Maybe one of those in use today or something new?
