Is it surprising to see a White person with black or brown eyes?. I don't think so, SAME THING HERE. I myself have seen many Black people from Africa with blue eyes, they don't claim to have any mixed race gene on their blood. What thing YOU ALL NEED to know is that your hair color, eyes color, HAS NOTHING to do with your skin color or race.

I know this African-American guy who has blue eyes, it is rare and somewhere down the family tree, somebody had blue eyes and that is where he gets it from. No, his mother and his father are black so there was no creeping with a white man with blue eyes or nothing like that. He is a full African- American.

There had to have been someone in her family that was white with blue eyes. It may have been hundreds of years ago but it had to have happened. Blue eyes are not a trait of africans. To get this genetic trait there would have to have been a european in the mix some time.

It really is not genetically possible for this to happen have no european ancestry

Of course it's true. All humans decended from one common ancestor - the first man and woman. They had all of the genes for everything - as people migrated to different areas a common gene pool developed and natural variations based on environment occured. The possibility exists for any combination - rare but possible.

Genetics is a pretty complex thing. Just as one physical trait is passed on through the generations, so can recessive traits, and sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. That is why each of us are special, we all have our own unique genetic code. My sister is the only lefty in our family, but I'm sure somewhere down the line there was a left handed person.

Maybe contacts lenses (lolz) or maybe they have white ancestry there somewhere, but its very rear. or maybe they dont know about their history where many years ago they had an Caucasian and only know recent history of theirs so therefore say they dont know or dont have a Caucuasian in their family heritage, even going back thousand years back if you had some white, black or other origin in a family of different people that can partly exist forever and stay with you untill this present day. Example, if a family of Africans 3000 years back, and a white, asian or Caucausain mixes with the African family, like Husband, or Wife and their off springs are mix race and the off spring get together and marry their African people and sticking with their Afrian people untill present day there still be something to show they have a Cacasian or whatver race in their system and that can mean blue eyes, light hair, facial features etc, amazing aint it, just one person or genes can last trough the family line got years and still exist.

It's just a matter of recessive genes. Same as how some people have red hair. I'm redheaded but absolutely no one else in my family is. The recessive genes decided to make its appearance in me.

It is true. I know a few Africans with blue eyes who do not have any Caucasians in their immediate family.
