The church I attend is a strong believer in keeping the 10 Commandments. To be honest with you I have trouble keeping all 10 of the Commandments. I was wondering how you are doing in keeping them? I think my biggest weakness is lying. Not big major lies, but stupid little lies. I watched a video of a highschool teenager being asked how well he keeps the Commandments, and it was then I realized how much I need a savior. And I thank God for His Son, Jesus Christ. Here's the video:

The 10 Commandments story reflects "G" 2 b the 1st Doctor in HIM sayn 2 Moses "take these 2 tablets & come back 2moro" Y go back? So "G" could learn of ur PROGRESS, how well r u, is it workn 4 u etc etc. Over time the result was 2 send Jesus as the final cure with the words "love ur God with all ur heart" 2 combine the 10 commandments. All the GosPILLS r there 2 help with the journey, and thats wot it is, a journey in progress.

NO ONE can keep all the commandments...no one. Only one did...Jesus. We need to be able to identify the commandments and learn full well what they each mean. We should all try extremely hard to keep the commandments but keeping the commandments (which we can't perfectly do) isn't what saves us. Jesus is where our salvation is. Jesus takes away sin , He never sinned, and as the Holy sinless Son of God is able and did, deliver us from sin. If keeping the commandments is what would save us, then Jesus died in vain..for nothing. Jesus death to free us from sin (breaking the commandments) doesn't give us a license to sin. It doesn't give us the right or approval to sin but it does deliver us from sins consequences. We are to be thankful to God for this salvation from sin (the breaking of the commandments) and strive to sin no more. We are also called to help others see that they sin and come to Christ for forgiveness. We can all do something to help others and do Gods will. So let's get with it.

I think that we all struggle with the commandments if we are honest. We are all sinners and have fallen short of the glory of God.

The one that I think that I have the most trouble with it the first two - You shall not have any gods before me - you know in theory I can say God comes first - I go to church, I tithe, I read my Bible, I prayer but life hits me and all of a sudden I realize that my job has fallen in the number one slot or my desire for more things or obsession with health issue.

Any time something else is taking up more of our time it becomes like a god. I have good accountability partners who help me not to wander to far off the path.

I am thankful for all the Lord does in my life and how much grace he gives me, especially when I do not deserve that grace.

Blessings to you

Lying is not a sin or violation.

It is BEARING FALSE WITNESS AGAISNT ANOTHER THAT BRINGS REAL HARM TO THEM

YOu do that?

You'd put some one in JAIL with a FALSE statement!

You'd say the Minister touched your privates when you were 12, when it wasn't really true! Just to get even with him!

You'd go to Homeland Security and complain about Abdul down the street who miffed you off at work and say he's a terrorists when he never gave you any reason to beleive that, all he did was miff you, so you LIE about him just to get him in trouble becuase he's a "rag head" and doesn't beleive in Jesus and Miffed YOU!

Do that to Abdul and I pray God let's him into heaven and not you!

Now, you tell your mommy the meal was delicious, even if it tasted bad and gave you heart burn, neither God nor I will condem you!

No, I'd bet your major weakness is doing anything at all on Sundays, and not killing those who work on Sundays. After all, it's right there in the Bible. And don't give me that crap about the old testament being fufilled with Jesus, since you're following the commandments from the OT.

I don't kill people. That's about it.

I think it is unrealistic to think that at no time would one sin. It is asking for forgiveness for our Lord (not you) that is the important thing. Let not our past sins define us. Start each day with good intentions and if you fall, pick up your self and be thankful that
God gave his son for our sins. Judge not for that is not your place.
