If the six mile wide asteroid that slammed into Earth 65 million years ago, never happened, then it's very logical to assume that we would not be here. Perhaps the dinosaurs would have evolved into more intelligent beings and we would have stayed as small mammals.

So if you believe in God then you have to believe that God moved a rock in space, and controlled it to hit the earth, at that time that would kill most of the life on this planet. Allowing the smaller creatures, our ancient decendents, to find a niche and evolve into intelligence and into us.

Of all life that has ever existed on this tiny world, 99.9% of it is now extinct. We make up the .1% of life that made it, that survived evolution. That doesn't speak of a designer at work, it says that we owe our existance to a lot of cosmic luck and serendipity. A much more humbling thought.

There was, believed, a small dinosaur that did survive. That did evolve into the rhino.

To deny that the fossils are real and a "test" by God is very sad. Denying yourself the truths, revealed to us by the rocks and by science.

Intelligence doesn't speak of a designer. It speaks of the vast amounts of time, we had to evolve. We aren't the only intelligent beings on this planets. Whales and some octopus are very intelligent. They couldn't invent a radio telescope but they are still very intelligent.

You're forgetting that a lot of creationists have no reason to believe that dinosaurs ever existed at all. God must have put their fossils in the ground to test their faith. Unfortunately, it makes your argument null and void to them.

I completely agree with you that this is a very sad argument. I've heard it from a lot of different people though. It's disgusting that people can be brainwashed to that point, isn't it?

if you think about it we was not realy there when god did create the world so it may be that god gathered all these rocks and liquids and threw them all together before we were born either way you admit in your words that god done something to the earth that allowed for us to grow so its not just by cosmic luck but defanitly in a serindipiteous manner cuz god whats that like to be the one that can rightly say i created the world and in defanition serindipity is in a happy manner or beneficial way and look at all the stuff around you the creater defanitly made the world beneficial for us and i know if scientist can plan precise test and discover so much in those small places that others dont see then im sure the creater knows how to do that and more on a much larger scale than we can and even if the dinosaurs were not destroyed by some major rock hitting the earth i think we would have ended killing all the dinosars our self just cuz they are such large creatures to us and cave man probly did and you just havnt found any evidence to proove that there might have been some great rise of man over beast before the noah story or whatever ""but i dont know of ne thing that would even suggest that" i dont know how maney times its been said that there is no proof and then it was found out later to be true so just cuz you dont see it doesnt mean its not there but there is a book about that in a way all i remember is the name inanna from its pages and part of the story was a battle of man against some creature and this was an educational book about articles discovered around the world and that book might have been false but also it might have some signifigence to suggestting that we killed the dinosaurs and maybe god was pissed for a while bout that and on top of everything else they were doin that brought the great flood of noah and theres no tellin exactly how maney documents were carried and lost among the family travels and battels and so much has happend that you might actualy stumble on some of the most obvious overpassed keys to histories stories and part of it might be that because some of the arguements among the world there might be some tribe or country that has with held some of the secrets or articles from the others in the world so you dont know but does it matter?if you are alive it shouldnt matter what happened to the dinosaurs or if your own plan doesnt quite go the way you planed but a real designer at work also knows that alot of great artistic designes were stumbled on by moveing the parts around and it became one of the standard styles i do some arts and in those visuals i do know that i have found several interesting images just scribbling and doodling and ive had more ideas venturing than when i sat down to draw a specific charactor that someone else had already done and if you gonna be an artist why dont you base you art on the gifts god gives you and the chances that what ever you sribble or doodle will be guided by your destiney as one of the gifts god gives us

All religion is really quite pathetic, especially in this day, where science is rapidly disproving all that creationists hold dear. Remember, the Catholic church once issued a death threat to Galileo, who had the temerity to suggest that A: The sun did NOT revolve around the earth but the other way around and B: That the earth was NOT flat. The old theories expounded by those who lived in the past and by those who live NOW but are, in effect, still living in the past, are being chipped away at but the evidence and facts are ignored by those who have a mind-set that prevents them from accepting reality.

The things that you're liable
to read in the bible
they ain't necessarily so

Porgy and Bess

Some dinosaurs, or creatures from that period, must have survived to finally evolve into birds as we know them today. Crocodiles would also seem to be a good example of a creature from that time period that survived. Sharks have been around far longer than we humans.
As far as the evolution of the human race as we know it today is concerned, it may well have been very convenient for us to have had the larger carnivores exterminated and providing our distant ancestors with a better chance of survival and development.

Human life is a result of pure coincidence - right place, right time and the survival of the strongest (aka the most intelligent and those with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and environment).

An unfortunate incident off the Yucatan at the time but probably for the best as far as we are concerned. Remember, though, that it could all happen again any time now. Any number of large asteroids are headed this way as we speak.

Are you ready for the inevitable?

there is some evidence to show the dinosaurs were in decline before the impact so maybe that just speeded things up a bit. But even a delay of a few million years and we would not be here.

Or perhaps some of the "smarter" ones like raptors could have eventially developed to be intelligent creatues and maybe formed civilizations.

I myself have also wondered and my creative mind has expounded these theories:-
1. That before the destruction of living creatures by the great floods, some alien spaceship took some live dinosaurs to another planet so that they would not go extinct.
2. That the changing climatic conditions made the aliens (higher beings) decide to put (man - a species of monkey) on earth.
That the dinosaurs are the orignial inhabitats of earth and man came from elsewhere.

it somewhat is no longer possibly there might ever have been people. it somewhat is available that apes would have developed and found out to dodge dinosaurs. they'd have been extra suitable than apes ought to attend to. it somewhat is no longer a query that would somewhat be replied with any fact. popping out of the trees would have been much less beautiful yet there have been some formidable cats and different predators that our ancestors had to handle. we don't possibly comprehend how formidable dinosaurs could have been relative to good sized predatory mammals.

actually it dose yell of a designer

the dinosaurs had hundreds of millions of years to the earth yet they did not develop any intelligence and were no where near to it. Mammals in less than 65 million years were able to do so.

also consider the location of the Earth in the solar system, any farther it would have been too cold to start life. Any closer and the life that would have developed would not be able to be intelligent.

if you look at history the Universe was timed for man and Mankind. Nature itself cries out that it was all made by a creator for us.

The power of the brain that count, intelligence is far superior to muscle, human still can control dinosaurs, tame them and use them to carry timber, put them in circus show etc

Some were not wiped out completely apparently. My daughter learned in school that a rhinosaurus is actually a dinosaur.

I'm sure we would have evolved just as we have and hunted them to extinction like we have many animals over the millenia.
