I just find it a bit disgusting that Israel should just be for the Jews (I know that only 25% of Jews live in Israel and not all support it).
It reminds me of Hitler's plan of one pure Aryan race in Germany.

I think Albertans have the best manners, followed by BCers and Maritimers. I think we BCers have the best sense of diplomacy and highest level of tolerance and there is a kind of rugged charm to Maritimers and they are a lot of fun.

About an hour ago we lost our cat. She had a very aggresive type of cancer and a heart murmer prevented a surgical option, so they recommended euthenasia.

It's very difficult for me but will be horrible for my son, who adored the cat. I am going to be honest and direct with him but am asking if anyone has experience with this - do you have any recommendations of how I can make this less horrible for him?

Thank you.

I have two parents who were divorced when I was in preschool...lol, so I have the two house (and two rooms!) thingy...it's cool...but anyway...my dad's girlfriend (I swear she's a witch) has a daughter. She just turned 24 or 25...She wakes up in the middle of the night and uses the bathroom... She spits on the top of it and doesn't flush it...she knows there is three other bathrooms to use in that house and she chooses the one my sister and I use to get ready for school to use like that...(she doesn't wash her hands either man) She is so gross to me...I hate it...When I go in there in the morning, I hold my nose and flush it...and she leaves the top open for everyone to see....I think she does it because she knows we have to use the bathroom next...if that's not why...someone tell me Why doesn't this nasty whore flush the toilet?!

If my self and another man (like Tracer) were to marry, who in here would attend even if there were picket lines from Fred Phelps or other religious gay bashing organizations? Would you put yourself at risk to do so? or would you choice to avoid it and why? and what if one of us were your biological brother?

How can something so smart evolve out of something so dumb? Where did the intelligence come from if not from our " ancestors " ?

sodomy
Main Entry: sod·omy
Pronunciation: 'sä-d&-mE
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French sodomie, from Late Latin Sodoma Sodom; from the homosexual proclivities of the men of the city in Genesis 19:1-11
: anal or oral copulation with a member of the same or opposite sex; also : copulation with an animal

This is how Myriam-Webster defines the word sodomy. If this is true, aren't alot of the people who tell us we are going to hell for whatever they choose to condemn us for likely to be meeting a similar fate?

there's a cross on the side of the road
where a mother lost her son
how could she know that the morning he left
would be the last she'd trade with for a little more time
(so she could say she loved him one last time)
and hold him tight
but with life we never know when we're coming up to the end of the road
so what do we do then
with tradegy around the bend

we live, we love, we forgive and never give up
cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
and today we remember to live and to love
we live, we love, we forgive and never give up
cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
and today we remember to live and to love

there's a man who waits for the tests to
see if the cancer had spread yet
and now he asks why did i wait to live til it was time to die
if i could have the time back, how i'd live
life is such a gift
so how does the story end?
well, this is your story and it all depends
so don't let it become true
get out and do what we were meant to do

we live, we love, we forgive and never give up
cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
and today we remember to live and to love
we live, we love, we forgive and never give up
cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
and today we remember to live and to love

waking up to another dark morning
people are mourning
the weather in life outside is stormin
but what would it take for the clouds to break
for us to realize each day
is a gift somehow, someway
and get our heads up out of this darkness
and spark this new mindset and start on with life cuz it ain't gone yet
and tragedy's a reminder to take off the blinders and wake up
(to live the life)
we're supposed to take up
(moving forward)
with all our heads up
cuz life is worth living

we live, we love, we forgive and never give up
cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
and today we remember to live and to love
we live, we love, we forgive and never give up
cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
and today we remember to live and to love

Piltdown: The Man that Never Was
Source: www.unmuseum.org
For forty years they were considered one of the archaeological finds of the century: A fragment of jaw and a part of a skull that could prove man evolved from the apes. They were the bones of Eoanthropus dawsoni found near Piltdown Common in Sussex. The bones of the "Missing Link."
Not.
Since 1953 the name "Piltdown" hasn't been associated with great scientific discovery, but great scientific fraud. It was in that year that a group of scientists, lead by Kenneth Page Oakley, attempted to use the new method of fluorine testing to get a more exact date on the bones. What the test showed surprised them: The jaw was modern and the skull only six hundred years old.
Additional analysis soon confirmed the fluorine tests. The jaw was really that of an orangutan. It had been filed down and parts that might have suggested it's simian origin were broken off. Both pieces had been treated to suggest great age. In short, a hoax!

Hi all.I live in Iran. There's an Iranian pop music which I found quite meaningful. It's a sentimental song and very enjoyable.I tried to translate it.What do you think of this song?Do you like it?

"Imagine it.Even if it's hard to imagine.A world in which everyone is the most furtunate.A world in which money and race and power are not valueble. The answer to be united is not the anti-revolution police. There's no nuclear weapon, no bomber, no morter-shell.No child leaves his leg on mine any more.Everyone is free.Everyone is painless. You won't read in newspaper that the whales have commited suicide anymore.Imagine a world without hatred and gun-powder.Whitout self-centered cruelness.Whitout horror and coffin.Imagine a world full of smile and freedom.Full of flower and kiss.Full of repetition of happiness.Imagine it.Even if it's a crime to imagine.Even if your throat fills with sadness by naming it.Imagine a world in which prison is a myth. All world-wars have been included to cease fire.No one is the Mr of the world.Everyone is equal with one another. From now on every wheat is for every human.Without any borders and limitations, homland means the whole world.Imagine it.You can make this dream come true."

Interesting article I read, not sure of the actual factual content. This person who claimed to be a psychologist wrote it. In the Article it mentioned how Feminism, at first, was a great idea as far as getting equality for the female gender. Further on it explained how in the 90's and now in the year 2006, the femenist movement moved from equailty to special treatment. Stating how in some cases, these groups would want employers to hold a womans job on hold while she gave birth and nursed. This person stated that because of situations like these, the issue no longer is equality but special treatment. When forcing an employer to hold a job for a female because of these sircumstances, sircumstances that a male doesn't have, is pushing the limit. Why should an employer have to loose business or money because of a person and a group pushing a self serving agenda.

Your thoughts?

It makes no sense when you can't feed the ones you've got to keep on having more. I see it as just plain laziness and irresponsiblity. I think that when people sign up for public assistance, the minute they have another child, they should be cut off, actually sterilization should be mandatory as these people should have no more rights when someone else is feeding them. Many people use religion as an excuse, they can't use birth control or have an abortion because it is a sin but at the same time they sleep with every man in town and drink and take drugs, which is also a sin.

Religion: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

Science: a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws: the mathematical sciences.

So, religion is beliefs, guesses, unproven thought and science is a series of proofs based on strongly defined laws.

So in a world where people are bent on being "sure" or "secure" why do they choose an unsecure, untrustable and more importantly unproven path in life?

Science is our future, it will keep us safe and wont be shrouded by mere lies.

Do you think atheism is a cult of reasoning dedicated to communism. People try to label christians as capitalists and atheists as communists. I truly never knew that!Capitalism-good, Atheism-bad. Is this a way for the majority of people to supress atheism. Also, Why do religious people claim only Atheists look at the world in a negative view and attacks everyone who does not share the same view as them? Every religion does, yet religious people claim its only atheists!
How is it that children are naturally born as agnostics but as they grow they must convert to X religion or they are dogmatic delinquents bound for communism and hell? This sounds like conspiracies during the cold war!
Was napoleon a communist when he promoted his enlightenment ideals? No he was on the road to capitalism!Industrialization.
