we have all sinned, and therefore all deserve to go to hell. but that is the beauty of christianity, that it is no doing of your own to go to heven accept for accepting Christ as your lord and saviour. it is that simple...so whether it is sexual sin, or stealing, or lieing, we have all sinned, and are there for in the same till we ask Christ into our lives...it is that simple.

Ok, quick hebrew lesson. Meriam Webster does not define what Hebrew terms meant thousands of years ago. You need to look at the hebrew word in Gen 19 for Sodom to figure this out. The hebrew word is pronounced the same as what we use in english...Sodom. However, in hebrew the word means "burning" or "conflagration". Obviously, the point being made in the text by calling the place Sodom was not because they were gay men performing sodomy but because the place was burnt to the ground. Then again, of course, the men could have been "burning" for each other lol.

That is not true , Im a christian , my mother and father are pastors and we dont believe that everyone is going to hell!the bible as we all know is a very ancient and sacred document , so that means that you kind of have to take everything into a modern interpertation , because the bible also says that women should not where make up , earrings or braid their hair and i personaly know many women of god that do. The bible isnt agains sex , but it is against adultery , but even if you commit adultry , you can ask for forgivness, as with every sin.

Yes, many will meet a similiar fate. Sodomy is a sin and sinners will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

Dont you think that life on this planet is enough hell? If you can go through life finding peace and growing the good in you, maybe you can escape hell before you go.

We have all sinned. We are born sinners. Salvation comes, not by living a sin-free life, which we can't do in and of ourselves, but through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Even sodomizers who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins will spend eternity with God.

Matthew 7:21-23
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Many of them will be from Yahoo Answers and damn surprised that they are getting the boot. *smiles sweetly at the sanctimonious Xtians posting above*
